The Mk.II Healey Sprite was introduced in 1961, sharing the same 948cc engine and body with the MG Midget Mk.1 (both models without external door handles). The 948cc engine was the same capacity as the earlier Frogeye Healey Sprite Mk.1, but with larger twin SU carburettors, boosting output to 46.5 bhp The car with its new body weighed around 100lbs heavier than the earlier car. In October 1962 the car was given a larger a long-stroke 1098cc engine, with 56bhp. A strengthened gearbox with Porsche (baulk-ring) synchromesh was introduced to cope with the extra power - a heady 56 bhp. Front disc brakes were also introduced at the same time and wire wheels became an option. Diolch am 95,051,458 o olygfeydd anhygoel, mae pob un yn cael ei werthfawrogi'n fawr.
