Chatham Turkeys
Sooooo last night I was in the shower in my apartment and kept hearing a car alarm going off. Turns out, my roommate was outside on the deck and one of the freaking turkeys was on her car eating her antenna topper. It took a huge dump on her car and put some huge scratches on it too. We talked to security about it, and they literally laughed in our faces and told us to call the "Turkey Police." For reals though. Stupid turkeys.
DCP Life
I have been here for almost three months now. And this has been on my mind like no other here lately. I love being down here, I love all my friends I have made down here, they have become my family, especially my roommate (the one I personally share a room with) who has become my best friend. But I miss home. I miss the mountains of Tennessee. I miss my mom, my grandparents, my five best friends, and especially my cats (I know I'm going to die an old crazy cat lady). This has been the first time in my life that I have ever spent my birthday without them, as well as Easter and the Fourth of July, which we kinda go all out for. It's going to be hard going through these next 4 months, just anticipating the fact that I'm going to be home soon. I am loving this experience so much and I would totally extend, or do it again, if only I knew I'd experience it with the people I have in my life here now. But Tennessee is calling me home, and I'll be there in August. Slowly but surely, I'll be there.

Packing...
Seriously. It always occurs to me how much of a girl I actually am when I have to pack to go somewhere. What makes this time even worse? I need to pack 6 months worth of stuff, which will probably result in me packing 9 months worth of things. My mind is incredible at coming up with a logical excuse as to why I need that pair of shoes or that dress...you don't need all of this, just put it down Kerry! Good Lord. By the rate I'm at I'll probably have my cat stuffed into my suitcase before I leave.
