Possibly the earliest flowering cherry blossom, this spring cherry is putting on quite a show on a sunny, March afternoon.

It's been a while since I gave my Wind Maiden an Outfit from Shining Nikki 😅I almost forgot her 🫠 she's my first mk oc. This outfit is named "Spring Cherry" which fits her perfectly as her favorite color is pink and she loves both bunnies and cherry blossom. 🩷🌸🎐

Sweet, Cheerful and Friendly ~ Raha Akina is the type of person who will never hurt a fly, she's the kindest person in the bunch. 🩷🩷

Facts about my Oc Raha Akina: She loves bunnies and cranes, she once fantasized having a pet rabbit but didn't happen. After becoming the Goddess, Benzai Lord Yu Huang, the Supreme God of the Heavens gifted her two animals that will become her helpers. One white rabbit named "Usagi" and One red crowned crane named "Tsuru" , they are much like "Tanuki" a raccoon dog and "Kitsune" a nine tailed fox who were the God of Wind, Fujin helpers. 🩷🎐🌸

Story - summarized

Yexiao loves the blossoms that fall each spring. If she had to pick a favorite, it would probably be the cherry blossom petal that lands on her sketchbook just now. But she doesn't have any cherry trees near her.

Art supplies in hand, she sets out to find the cherry blossom tree. Her search takes her to Cloud Empire National University, where they are holding a day of fun activities and things to see. A boy hands her a flyer and offers to accompany her around campus. Yexiao really just wants to see the cherry tree, but she agrees to play a few games with the boy.

Finally, after balloon popping and haunted houses, the boy leads her to the cherry blossom tree. Sure enough, the wind catches the falling petals and sends them far from the campus. Yexiao gets to work sketching and painting the tree. The blossoming beauty only lasts for so long.

The moment is interrupted when fluffy white rabbits escape from their cage. She helps to shepherd the bunnies back to their stall before going back to her painting. The boy stays with her, watching.

When Yexiao returns home, she finds a note from the boy, asking if she wants to meet up with him again. She doesn't want to date, and she really just went to the university for the tree. Instead, she works on her blossom design.

Connections

-Yexiao has always loved spring and blossoms. One of her earliest Reflections is Thousand Dreams, where she spends time painting blossoms with her neighbor, both when the neighbor is a little girl, and again when she is an elderly woman.

-While Yexiao has no desire to date, another Cloud resident craves nothing but dating and romance: Chi Xiaoyu. A big example comes from the Autumn Moon event, where she buys romance books for Baishuo to take to Qingyue.

-The students comment that Yexiao's style of painting resembles one of the textbook examples, from the old artist "Xiao." Considering that Yexiao is immortal and has existed and traveled for centuries, it's possible her work ended up in the textbook under an alias. For example, one of her pieces became famous during the event Qingxiao Legend: she befriended an old man and worked with him to create a living monster, but the citizens twisted the meaning of her artwork around.
