Super Mario Bros Wonder headcanon:

Although Drill Mushrooms are safe to eat, they're the crunchiest known type of Mushroom power-up, with the Rock and Spring Mushrooms rounding out the top three. You won't break your teeth if you bite into one, but it's almost like biting a hard candy.

While walking down a hallway one morning she’d suddenly be stopped, the mushroom vanishing at the touch of her but then suddenly she is wrapped up in a big spring. “What in the?!” The Koopa Queen growled and wiggled around, struggling to break free from it but was bound tightly. Losing her balance she flopped forward, hair blocking her eyes and she huffed quietly, blowing a few strands free to gain her vision again. She made little noises as she struggled to get back onto her feet, mainly using the wall to steady herself. With a few experimental wobbles of barely able to walk and then a few hops she decided it was easier to hop. Picking it up quickly she gently bounced through the hallway, careful not to give it too much oomph and bounce up into the ceiling. Starting to enjoy her time after a while, Bowsette grew a toothy smile across her face as she hopped around. Goombas and Koopas alike got out of the way in worries they would be squished under her jumping.
