I'll be very busy on the new property this spring. I have chestnut, hazelnut, persimmon, eastern redbud and pawpaw trees to plant. I have serviceberry and blueberry bushes to plant. I need to plot out where I want those, because they'll likely remain where I put them.

Gotta build some raised beds. I'm going to attempt growing wax peppers, beets, peas (those are super easy), and ground cherries. I'll likely pick up more herb and flower seeds later, as well as getting raspberry plants locally. I have wild thimbleberry out back I can try to transplant (and I think it'll do better with more sun). The pink chicory and columbine seeds will be sown, and I have some hibiscus cuttings in the basement that should still be alive, just dormant. We'll see how those look when I do pull them out.

Hopefully, I've not bitten off more than I can chew. I still want another pear tree so the "wild" one has something to cross pollinate with, and I want some mulberry trees. I don't expect everything to survive and thrive, but I'll do my best to pick good placement and amend the soil as needed. It'll keep me active and busy if nothing else.

So many things to do today and it actually feels good!

I bought some baking soda and my favorite cleaner I remember my mom using during the good parts of my childhood so I'm excited to clean after work.

I'm also in the middle of making my "Coastal Carrier" bag I'm crocheting. I'm working on the shoulder strap for it. I'm excited to make the striped flap for it!

I also took a bunch of photos with my digital camera a couple years ago and I have decent scrapbooking materials to use to make a book filled with new happy memories.

Once the weather settles into the warm spectrum, I'll be trying to practice the art of photography in one of my favorite neighborhoods called West Avenue. Hopefully, I'll catch some pharaoh cicadas!

I'm overhauling my container garden now that I have a bit more experience, dying eggs, and doing my usual spiritual and mental spring cleaning! This year is about breaking down the barriers keeping me from activities I love like writing and yoga. I might do some full moon work tonight if I get the chance and charge up some tools.

Ooooh I love your year’s theme! I think in our society we’re conditioned to view things like art, expression, and care as wasting time or distractions. When in reality the almighty ‘Productivity!’ gets in the way of us living a life that nourishes us in all areas. I’m so glad you’re making time for the things that feed your spirit.

YES YES YES on the full moon 🌕!! We have a beautiful super full moon tonight in Virgo. A big shift is coming that should allow some forward progression and major shifts towards healing the things that have been broken. Powerful to charge your tools with that energy. I think I’ll follow you and do the same!
