Repost from @pulpnews As we close another 4th of July we taken a story scouting trip on July 4, 2015 to La Veta / Cuchara. With the two towns filled with revelers what struck us was this image simple yet so unique American. A Main Street. A flag. And a news stand. Just being this is Charlie’s Market filled up with people wanted to cool down with a little ice cream. So as #springfire rages we’d like to sign off on this July 4th saying La Veta / Cuchara was a gem too often overlooked in Colorado. While it seems like the fire won’t stop, what we saw on that Fourth of July was a sense of pride for Spanish Peaks Country and we know when this fire is out our, you’ll rebuild this two great places in America.
