He had been so loved.
I also signed up to @springfest-rote as an artist, and was so lucky to be paired up with @wingedaches who has penned such a beautiful, touching exploration of (let's face it) everyone's most beloved character. I've been wanting to attempt a Mucha-inspired triptych for a while now, and I thought this was a golden opportunity for that.
(I'll stop with the bad puns now)
Please give Where Love Finds Us a read and give the author some love - though fair warning, it might bring you to tears.
"After its first resounding scream, the ship surprised me by leaning into her, and whispering, beyond my hearing. At first, they exchanged whispers, every so often directing a glance my way."
Happy @springfest-rote! It's my first RotE fest. How lucky I was, to be paired with @willowjh, who has written something so achingly beautiful, so full of yearning. I have not felt inspired like this in a while.
Please read @willowjh 's incredible Springfest story, The Lame Stride, on AO3 + a bonus illustration there ;]
Happy Springfest everyone!
It was such a joy to collaborate on this project with @feyweird who wrote the wonderful fic and @everywaythatmatters who created a wonderfull artwork.
You can find the fic here: To Light our Reverie
The prompt for the fic was the following: "A vignette style fic of missing scenes that depict an introspective Fitz falling in love with Beloved over the course of their lives."
All of the vignettes that @feyweird wrote would have been a blast to illustrate but I simply could not pass up the opportunity to draw a nice spring garden scene.
Here is some of the sketches and inspiration images i used
Happy Springfest ! For @springfest-rote, I have worked with the very talented @smoky-solitude who wrote an Illiad!ROTE fanfiction, The Ballad of Beloved.
What i like in the Illiad is the violence and Smoky did such a good job with the tragedy and the gore !
I did four fanart, one ceramic-inspired for the ambiance, and three to illustrate specific scenes of the fic : )
"i no longer wished to be a weapon" Fitz/Achilles refusing to go to war, Beloved begging him.
In Ballad of Beloved, Nighteyes dont bond with Fitz ! I especially love this scene that highlight both the similarities and the differences between Fitz and Achilles : D
And of course, death of the Fool/Patrocles : D
Go read The Ballad of Beloved !
ROTE Springfest in the Wild West
Happy Springfest folks! For @springfest-rote, the most excellent @riekesart and I have worked together to create a boot-stompin', tooth-rottin', card-flippin' Cowboy AU. Bottan not only created excellent tarot-card-themed art for each of the three chapters, but also fueled my fluffy fire and beta'd all chapters.
Suffice it to say when we reached a turning point in the plot, we brainstormed ideas (with a lot of cackling) and chose the fluffiest and/or silliest option we could think of.
Read Chapter 1 of Dancing on the Edge of a Cliff: the Moon (🌙 No. 18 of the Major Arcana in Tarot).
Chapter 2 (🌟) will be posted next Sunday (the 8th) and Chapter 3 (☀️) the Sunday after that (the 15th). The rating comes with the sunrise, but the fluff starts right away.
Summary:
"Do we have to go?” I asked at last, the words falling from my mouth like rocks. My spouse universally loved parties, and Springfest was her favorite. I knew I might enjoy myself once we arrived, but I dreaded going. My family would be there, and all Buckfort had been invited. We should go. Still, I did not want to. A Western AU where Fitz has to, horror of horrors, go to a Springfest party at the local saloon with his family. There will be complaining, dancing, cards of various types, coffee, and Fitz's silly opinions about beer. No real plot spoilers, but there are character spoilers through GF.
I am so happy to participate to this Springfest2025 , partnering with @hargr00vy and @luinquesse on this wonderful project ! You can read the first few snippets of the upcoming longfic A Girl is a thing with Wings on Ao3 and discover exactly what awaits Neetle now that Tintaglia has taken an interest in her.
Happy Springfest 🌸
Finally I get to say this and share this work with the world! I am so excited to reveal I was partnered with the incredible @barnyardjester for this year's @springfest-rote (check into the fic to sneak a peek into her GORGEOUS work), and I can honestly say this fic is the one I am the proudest to have written, mostly due to my partner's incredible support.
Please check out The Lame Stride on AO3 and once again, happy Springfest 🌸🩷
A brief summary:
For a second, Althea seemed to reconsider her words, then directed Amber an inquiring glance. “You will travel with us to Bingtown, of course? Now that you’ve seen the blasted things, well, I can tell you there is not much else to be done in Cassarick.”
I expected the Fool to deflect, finding a polite but definite way to end this encounter and convince the woman we were quite determinately northward bound. He opened his mouth – or Amber did –, and I knew my expectation would be in vain while he searched his mind for words to say.
“I would love nothing more,” Amber said, in her dreamy, wistful tone. It was the honesty in her voice, perhaps, that drove the knife the deepest into me.'

In spite of the Fool's protestations, FitzChivalry follows after the two Prophets as they depart from Aslevjal, headed to Clerres. Tension grows within the small company; separated from Prilkop and stranded in the Rain Wilds, the Fool runs into an unexpected friend, very conveniently captain to a nearby anchored liveship. Though still harboring hopes to bring Beloved safely back to the Six Duchies, Fitz is forced to confront hard truths about his friend and, most importantly, himself.
