SPRINGHILL EVENT 003: BONFIRE NIGHT!

Springhill’s summer bonfire night arrives this weekend! Down in the woods surrounding Magnolia Lake, situated just one hour drive away: residents will have the opportunity to spend time with friends and family to experience this annual tradition by the fire that generations have enjoyed ever since the town’s foundation. The option for camping is available for those who wish to do so! Bonfire will be starting at 9pm, but campers can arrive from 3pm and so on to set everything up.

Take a break from the town life and enjoy some fresh air to become one with nature with activities like hiking through the woods, fishing, swimming in the lake, stargazing or simply enjoying the peace and quiet under the moonlight as you get warm around the fire. Find the perfect spot at the campsite with your group of friends and roast some marshmallows, tell ghost stories or bring your guitar to sing along! Food trucks will be available around! Sponsored by our lovely food places in town: Sunshine Diner offering hot dogs and burgers, Mi Tierra Santa with delicious Mexican food, The Scoop! for some sweet ice cream and Real Smoothie for cold drinks!

-The event OOC will be going from Friday, July 24th at 3pm EST till Tuesday, July 28th at 11:59pm EST, however IC the event will last just one day: Friday July 24th.

-Meme Monday won’t be happening this week so we can focus on the event.

-Normal threads can continue on the dash if your characters choose to not attend this event, however it is highly encouraged they do so for plot purposes.

“A random kitten walked up to me earlier and I was so mystified by the cuteness of the random kitten that while I was loving on it, it literally bit the shit out of my hand… Time to stop trusting baby animals and go get a tetanus shot or something… Why do kittens have to be so cute but so evil? It’s unfair.” Jamie said as he looked over at his hand that had been bitten earlier. It’s not like he could help it, he had always a thing for animals but most of the time when he tried to pet an animal, they would bite him.

He was an internet cop, according to himself. Unlike his family, Jonathan thinks that has a nice ring to it. “Also I’m off duty and new in town, so yeah. Hi.” He was about to say Sharing Is Caring, but he honestly doesn’t know how chill are these small town people. Best to keep it down for now.

SPRINGHILL EVENT 002: CARNIVAL!

Springhill’s traditional annual carnival is in town for the whole week! From Monday May 25th to Sunday 31st residents can enjoy activities like carnival rides (don’t forget the iconic ferris wheel and carousel!), haunted house, bumper cars, house of mirrors, games to win a prize (like ring toss, fishing game, balloon dart… and more!), face paint and a petting zoo for the little ones!

For those looking for a more adult setting: a pop up bar will be available offering all types of drinks! Don’t forget to try Springhill’s traditional craft beer! In the food area: there’ll be various food trucks with all options available so your belly is content! With the town’s favorites: caramel apples, cotton candy and corn dogs included!

On Friday we’ll be having a drive in movie night! Showing “Letters To The Moon”, a romantic drama film by Asher Drew Thomas premiered in 2018. So if you are looking for a fun date idea... this is your chance to ask that special someone out!

Music performances will be happening in the afternoons so local musicians who wish to perform please sign up ASAP!

The carnival will be opening from 12pm to 11pm on weekdays and extending till 1am on the weekend!

-The event OOC will be going from Monday May 25th at 12pm EST till Sunday May 31st at 11:00pm which coincides with the time span IC.

-MEME MONDAY will be postponed till next week so we can focus on the event.

-The movie listed is a fictional one so threads don’t lose focus.

-Normal threads can continue on the dash if your characters choose to not attend this event, however it is highly encouraged they do so for plot purposes. Also, given the nature of this event, it is possible to leave and come back to the activities here so it gives room for non event related threads too.

-You don’t have to wait till Friday to start writing the drive in movie night!

SPRINGHILL EVENT 001: SPRING FEST!

Honoring it’s name: Springhill’s biggest festivity of the year comes during the weekend Spring arrives ever since the town was founded: this year the chosen date being Friday, March 20th. A local holiday where everyone comes together to enjoy the activities that are presented during the day. No school or work for townies to focus on such activities. This years schedule being the following:

Spring Parade: we’ll be opening the big day with our traditional parade going from 9am to 12pm EST!

Then we’ll inaugurate the Spring Market! Happening from 12pm to 12am EST: local businesses, food trucks and live music will be provided all day long to celebrate the arrival of Spring together! Musicians who wish to perform please sign up ASAP!

To those who prefer a louder setting, we’ll be hosting a Spring Club Party at Ceux Qui Sont Tombés starting at 10pm and on going all night long till we see the sun ! It is the clubs big opening night and honoring the theme it follows, if you decide to attend: wear something pink, red or purple if you are feeling like a sinner or wear something yellow, gold or white if you are feeling like a saint.
