to be fair shes almost exclusively called 'the major' or 'major' in the original movie

I know, but her name is such a humanizing aspect of her character and being “human” is such an important concept of the original movie that I feel like devoiding The Major of her name is like turning her into a “blank slate”. Looking at her character as a blank slate is either going to make the experience better or worse, but it’s definitely not the same thing.

I know, it’s a small thing, but a name can be a really important part of a person’s identity.

Anyway, it’s coming out here tomorrow and I’ll see if I’ll watch it or not. Gotta give it some thought. I definitely don’t approve the way Hollywood handled this, that’s for sure.
