A sweaty mess after an hour of 🏊 🚴 🏃. As expected I was pretty much #dfl out of the water but my time was not nearly as the watch shows. I forgot to hit the transition button, so my swim was actually about 2:20 faster (and still slow). Of course means T1 was a mess at nearly 4 minutes. Things got better on the bike; we were on a muddy #longbranchtrail with a lot of sharp turns. I almost lost my front wheel one mud pit but managed to pull out of it just in time. Since I was on my hybrid bike the transition was really easy - helmet off, gloves off, go! We were back on the trail and I had my @topoathletic MT-2 trail racers on. I felt like I had some time to make up from earlier so I took off, and started running people down one after another. It was only 2 miles but the last 800 was pure suffering as it was hot and I was gasping for air. But I kept pushing and brought it home. I’m proud to say nobody passed me on the run - still my strong element. If I can run sub-7 miles at the end of a #sprinttri my #runfitness must be getting back to familiar territory, too. #runblr #fitblr #triblr #swimbikerun #summerrunning #trailcycling #trailrunning (at Canterbury Woods Swim & Tennis)
