Hi, sorry, Sproier (Spreen x Roier) anon again. This time with a headcanon (I think that's what this can be called?). A lot of people headcanon Spreen to be the son of Rubius and Vegetta, so what if in the QSMP when Rubius played the devil, Spreen saw him that way because the devil was trying to manipulate him with by wearing the face of his father (and in this headcanon, Rubius is missing, so that's why Spreen is unsure if the devil is really his father or not). Everyone always does the betrayal between Spreen and Roier to be angst focused on Roier (which makes sense, since in the QSMP Spreen betrayed Roier by killing his dog and him over a bet and a deal with the devil) but I wanted to put a new twist on it with Spreen being the angst focus. And to make things worse, the devil erased Vegetta's memories in order to manipulate Spreen better. And that's why Spreen betrays Roier (despite Roier being his closest friend/ally in the server), because he's desperate to get his dad back (even if he's distrustful of the devil, he's willing to overlook it as long as the devil promises he can get his family back). Also the devil would definitely manipulate him hardcore and make him think he's crazy since he's the only one who remembers his real family. Added angst if him and Roier were good friends before QSMP, and Spreen betrayed his last connection to "home" because of the manipulation (and the devil would definitely forbid him from telling Roier what's really going on since that was part of the deal in canon). But Roier is smart, and I think he would start to wonder why everyone's acting so weird (mostly Spreen, but I think because Roier is close to Vegetta too it would come up even if he didn't know Vegetta was Spreen's dad beforehand) and he would investigate and then find out about the devil and try to help Spreen get out of the deal and try to help him save his family. Sorry this turned into a whole AU, I really just had the one idea about the devil using Rubius against Spreen at the start haha.
