Renia looked over her book at her brother, his short soft black hair. Clear green eyes she always got lost in.... always forgave. She loved how his body hunched over his homework, showing his bulging muscles. The book about the ethics in journalism was not where near as eye catching as the boy she reluctantly loved.
Darien peeked over his homework to catch his sister looking at him, he gave her a quick wink and went back to his ongoing battle with algebra. When the flirty action registered in Renias mind, she immediately got flustered and stared back into her book. Her heart fluttered and it butterflies filled her empty stomach.
Suddently= the sound of her brothers growling stomach filled the room. Looking up and smiling at her brother she said, "I'll make get some dinner now". Gracefully getting out of her chair she walked up to the fridge, rummaging through what it contains. She saw the ingredient's to put together a quick salad.
"I'm going to make autumn salad, so dinner should be ready shortly"
Gathering up all of the ingredients, making and putting the salad on the table was a fast and easy job. The fod was ready in less in ten minuets and they both sat down to eat.
"What the fuck is this", yelled Darien, he has quite a temper
"It's... autumn salad.... I said I was making it....", she answered quietly, she never knew what to say when he raised his voice.
"No, that tastes GOOD, this is utter crap", he yelled in rebuttal
"I... I can make something else"
"No, your cooking is always bad, you shouldn't feel bad, it's not your fault you can't really do anything" And there he was... always putting her down, how could she love someone who said these things to her every night? Much less her brother.
"I'll be back latter", he said storming out, she knew where he was going, Egui's bar, he always went there, no one cards. He was going to get drunk, Renia sighed, he gets nasty when he's drunk. He's so sweet and lovable until he wants to drink, so she tells her self.
A door slamming can be heard in the background
