I really can't choose which team to join, and I know you'll probably recommend team Valour, but could you help me with the pros and cons of being in the teams? thanks!
The pros and cons of each team depends mostly on the area you live in, but if you want a broad description I would be glad to give it to you.
Team Instinct:
Pros: People in the team are very nice and energetic. Their leader, Spark, is equally as ambitious. Following your gut and doing what you feel is right is an incredible mindset to follow. If you like playing the Underdog, this is the team for you
Cons: Smallest team worldwide. Not too many resources for the team as compared to the other two. Easily overshadowed by the other teams, making gameplay difficult.
Team Mystic:
Pros: Biggest team worldwide, holding >50% of all of the Pokemon Go community. Many resources, and a huge variety of members to talk to. The team leader, Blanche, takes the role of the smart and studious leader. Definitely the team if you like being part of an overwhelming force, and if you like playing the ‘smart’ type.
Cons: The biggest team worldwide. Gameplay gets dull if there are a vast majority in your area, as they will likely have control of every local gym. As the biggest team, you will likely run out of things to do without traveling long distances to take things owned by the other two teams. Hard to catch up with the rest of your team.
Team Valor:
Pros: Candela. A general mid-ground for a player-base. Unlikely to get bored with the constant competition you will get from team blue. Headstrong and powerful, a team that never quits. A friendly community, with warmhearted individuals who are likely to help you no matter what team you are on. Focuses on the competitive and adventure aspects of the game.
Cons: Much like Team Instinct, easily overshadowed by Team Mystic. Competitive and fast paced, hard to keep up with its top players. Gameplay goes back and forth often, as they have the most underwhelming local presence. Involves a lot of travel between local gyms.
Of course, Team Valor is easily the best pick, but it is also recommended that you pick a team that doesn’t dominate your local gyms. It is also fun to join whatever team your friends join.
One more perk of joining Team Valor: Our community will always have your back! We hope you pick Team Valor.
Stay safe and have fun on your Pokemon journeys
