An idea I had in my mind for a while: a grand LEGO Space race featuring most of the known Space subthemes like Ice Planet, Spyrius, Rock Raiders, etc.
Space Explorers: Revamped! 🪐
My take on one of the coolest sets of my childhood - LEGO 6705 Space Explorers, released in 1994.
3 different space factions (from left to right) - Ice Planet 2002, Spyrius and Unitron. 5 different minifigs. Lots of weapons and accessories. All in one set. No wonder I now love the sets I love and make customs the way I make them 😁
I tried to keep that same vintage nostalgic vibe in both style of minifigs (I tried to build them how they’d look if this set was released these days, but using as many elements as possible from the originals) and in style of photos (I tried to recreate the box art, but with some twists and buildable elements).

To celebrate the 90th Anniversary of The LEGO Group, help us choose a classic theme to be reimagined as a single new product for the 2022 LE
Sooo, this is happening! If you‘d like to see a classic LEGO theme return with one new set, here’s your chance! Head on over to the ideas website and vote!
I know I’d personally love Bionicle to get a new set, (and to help design it!) but Adventurers or Rock Raiders would be just as exciting!
What are you waiting for? You know what to do!
Spyrius: another great 1990s Space theme. I was 9 years old when Spyrius was first launched; my first set of this series was the small Saucer Scout spaceship. Although it was a short-lived theme with a handful of sets, these space scoundrels were intended to be successors to the villainous Blacktron factions from the late '80s and early '90s. Some of the notable highlights of this theme were the large robot vehicles, as well as the introduction of an android minifigure.
