Mod Ziyari: I have Spyro dreams all the time ;w; I could send you so many haha But let me stick to my favorite! I once dreamed I was able to access a secret place in Winter Tundra, inside the "roof"area of the main castle tower. There was a big waterfall and the place was very misty because of it. Sitting on one of earth blocks was child Elora and her mother, named Brenda! She had a long braid and small horns, holding a flute. I even made a drawing of it long time ago <3

Oh man. I had soo many spyro dreams as a kid (and a few recently, yay!). A lot of them were new levels/homeworlds that I really want to draw some day... The latest one I had a month or so ago was really stressful tbh. There was a hidden portal I think in Sunrise Spring called Blackened Boughs or something. The sky was an intense red sunset and the whole level was gliding from one giant burnt branch to another, no music, no ground. No enemies but it felt like you had to keep moving or else!

sounds super surreal and ominous but also i love the idea of a level like that!

its really weird like whenever dreams about something lighthearted and fun have something kind of scary and sinister inserted into it (that’s happened to me with animal crossing LOL..)

a really cool idea for a spyro game would be for spyro to make it through to like one of the last bosses late in the game, then return back to an early homeworld and see a sinister portal emerge that has like, a super spiked difficulty and has a really weird vibe much like in your dream (like when you go back to zone 0 and meet sugar in OFF!!)

One time I streamed spyro 1 through 3 from beginning to end each game in one night. I dreamt about that stream but everyone kept talking shit about my spyro playing and Spyro stopped responding to my controls and looking back at the scream sassy-style.

ahahahahahaha imagine spyro just turning around to you at one point and being like….my city now..refusing to cooperate with the controls…a scoundrel

it kind of sounds like you’re nervous about people’s opinion of you but PLAY SPYRO HOWEVER YOU WANT MAN!!!! (same with life..you do you)

I had a dream when I was like 5 about spyro 3, and there was a cheat you could do to respawn all the gems after you completed the game

speaking of spyro concepts for a remaster this would be a really good idea because revisiting levels after a 100% play through always seems empty without gems

If we're on the topic of Spyro dreams, mine never used to be pleasant for some reason, the only ones I can remember are nightmares. Like there was one where the egg thief was chasing me and as he was about to lift his hood to reveal his face I woke up. The other one I had when I was little and it was really vivid, and it was about the large orange dudes in Hurricos and they were after me, and when I woke up I ran down the hall and for some reason I could still see them??? It was wild.

omg if that were me I’d be terrified!! i don’t normally have nightmares just…unsettling dreams. I wish i could know what was under the egg theif’s mask omg

I agree the orange dudes in hurricos are actually kind of terrifying because they are so big. And you could still see them after you got up that’s mad!! you must have still been half asleep though if you could see them in your hall. I would freak OUT lmao

I once had one where Spyro journeyed through a dark, mystical forest where the trees and flowers could talk. There was a lovely river that he could swim in, and I remember there was an opening of a tree at its trunk, and Spyro could play a xylophone anytime he wanted? This dream was well over a decade ago, and I was in the middle of an Eternal Night playthrough.

that sounds like a really sweet dream! i love the idea of the trees and flowers talking to spyro, it sounds like reimagining of summer forest, especially with the river!

and the xylophone LMAO thats classic. i love when dreams pull out random inexplicable stuff like that

oh! if you're still interested in Spyro dreams, I had one about the first game a couple months back! it involved hidden area in the Artisans home and it was super strong. I went down a little moss-covered tunnel and came out in this dense wood that was just covered in vivid green vegetation, kinda like Idol Springs? the sky was totally hidden by the thick tree canopy. there were also new portals, and one was built into the side of a hill! and there was a tall series of stone steps leading up.

are we still talking about spyro dreams here? i tried sending 1 in a few days ago but idk if you got it or if tumblr ate it lol. i LOVE having spyro dreams and usually it's just me exploring new areas or new levels. 1 that always stands out for me is when i was like 7 i had a dream where i was in autumn plains & was approaching the fracture hills portal but instead of saying fracture hills, the portal just said "the one" but the dream ended before i got to see what the level was about. :/

yes we are!! thanks for resending your ask btw! one thing I noticed is that autumn plains has a pretty big impact on people since it appears often in the dreams I read?

Also I wish we knew what was on the other side of that portal! “The one” sounds so cryptic omg(Oh sick I just remembered your url is dreamweavers ahaha)
