The Walk (Arnick x Tetrox One-Shot)

Well, here’s a little christmas present for you! Some Tetrox x Arnick fluff! This little scene was in my head a few nights ago and I couldn’t resist writing it down. All characters featured in this one-shot belong to @tamarinfrog / @searching-for-bananaflies. Well, instead of fandom-ing I should work on my own story, too >.<

After Team Violet finished their long day battling with a few drinks, Belladonna asked Arnick for a big favour.

“Would you mind joining Tetrox on her way home? Even if I don't give a shit about who she is, it's safer for her having company.” And even if Arnick wasn't really comfortable with it, he agreed to their team leader's request.

So he joined the octoling girl on an approx twenty minutes long walk to her apartment. “It's-a great thing ya joinin' me, Bella seems way to busy the last few days...”, Tetrox tried to start some smalltalk, but only got a small glare from the soldier by her side. “She got so much stuff on her mind, ya know? Not talkin' 'bout anything with us, though... hope, she'll be okay” “Hmpf...”, was the small reaction she finally triggered from the man by her side. “But she's an awesome fighter, ya know? Still got a clear mind in battles...”

“Would you mind stop talking, please?”, Arnick replied with a quiet voice. “Don't ya agree?” Tetrox looked at him, still in thoughts of the well-being of their team's leader and not a slightly bit in charge about why Arnick appears to be uncomfortable. “I mean, she still fights great 'n' all! Not wanna mess with her when she's in a good run.”

“Stop. Talking.” Arnick grumbled the words again, just getting a confused look from Tetrox. He was still looking straight ahead the street, walking as rigid as always. “Ya think she's not well? Or... ya tryin' to forbid my mouth in general?” Suddenly she felt his hand on her shoulder, pushing her against the nearest wall, just getting a glimpse of his eyes before his lips met hers.

Tetrox was shocked. She was prepared for nearly everything but not this. Her whole body seemed to be shaking, her ink felt like it was boiling, as Arnick continued the kiss. When their lips slowly separated, she was still out of breath.

“I told you: Stop. Talking.” Arnick mumbled, still just a few inches away from her face. “No”, was her first reaction. She wrapped her arms around his shoulders, looking straight in his eyes. “If that's the deal, I won't ever stop talkin'.” Then she trades him back, still having a purple blush on her face.
