The Darkness Reaches Us Everywhere. (An SQL!Rot story) Part 2
This is a story about the fusion between my exe SQL Slammer Sonic and @sonicexelle-junkary 's horror sonic au The Rot, the fusion in question named SQL!Rot.
Cream was currently in her bedroom playing cooking mama on her customized Alcremie switch while sitting on her bed cross-legged. She was just waiting for her mother to call her for dinner.
The young bun was having the time of her life. When she put down her switch for a moment, she noticed some strange black markings on her gloves and soon looked down at her switch, noticing its case was also covered in it.
She gasped and panicked quickly, cleaning it all up with some nearby paper towels, shutting off her switch for a moment, and also cleaning up her gloves.
"Oh no! How did I not notice that sooner? I guess some of Miss Amy's cupcakes must have leaked into my school bag and got my switch dirty; I'll need to be more careful."
Cream took time to make sure everything was clean. Before she continued to play her game for another hour, and she had just finished another level in cooking Mama, she decided she wanted to play something else, so she brought up the screen to quit the game.
But as the game was closing in a single frame, she saw Mama with black liquid dripping from her lips and an almost frightened look on her face.
The scared young bunny yelled, and she reached for her switch to turn the game back on when suddenly. She heard her mother call to her from the kitchen. "Cream the rabbit; time for dinner!"
Cream did want to check on her game quite badly in that moment, but she didn't want to be rude, and along with that, she was now curious why her mother called her out by her full name, so she yelled out. "Coming!" then rushed out of her room and went right up to the dining room table and sat down in her chair.
Vanilla smiled down at her daughter and put down two plates of dinner for them both before sitting down. Cream, of course, found herself uneasy due to what she thought she saw in her game, but decided to ask something else she was curious about.
"Uh, Momma Why did you call me by my full name when you called me out to dinner?"
Vanilla's eyes widened a little; she hadn't even realized she had done it, and she slowly put down her fork and coughed into her hand suddenly before deciding to answer her daughter.
"Oh, I'm sorry, sweetie. I didn't even realize I had done it. I'm honestly not sure why I did either; it must have been a slip of the tongue."
She coughed again and decided to sip some water. Cream decided that was good enough of an answer and decided not to press into the topic, but hearing her mother cough two times now had her worried for another reason.
"Momma, are you okay? That doesn't sound so good."
Vanilla slowly looked at Cream reassuringly and said, "Oh, it's alright, dear! I might just be coming down with something, but I'll be okay, don't worry."
Cream didn't know her mother would get sick so often, but it has been awhile, the young bunny girl thought, so she believed her mother. and suddenly looked a little excited. "Oh! Oh! May I make some soup for you in the morning before I go to school? I want to help you feel better, mama!"
Vanilla giggled softly before nodding, finding the idea rather lovely.
"Cream, darling, I think that sounds wonderful. Yes, you may! Just be careful around me, just in case I wouldn't want to make you sick as well, just in case what I have can spread to you."
The young bun nodded to what her mother said. "Okay Momma!"
The two rabbits continued to enjoy their dinner, and not before long, both of them were finished with dinner, and Cream got up, collecting her own dishes and those of her mother, taking them to the sink, and deciding to help with washing up.
Vanilla lovingly looked at her daughter, putting her hand to her own chin, finding it so sweet that she raised such a kind daughter who'd help out like this.
"Ah, thank you very much, Cream Darling; that was very nice of you." Vanilla slowly got up to go help her, but suddenly had a dizzy spell and fell over out of her chair, feeling a pain in her chest. As she fell onto the floor, it made a clear, loud thump.
Cream looked over at her mother, worryingly dropping the dish out of her hand, and ran over, practically shouting. "MOM, ARE YOU OKAY?!" Vanilla groaned, rubbing her head as she quietly said, "Yes, yes, dear, I'm okay. Please don't shout so loudly."
Cream saw the mistake she had made and covered her mouth before slowly nodding and quieting down. "Yes, Mama, sorry…"
Vanilla slowly got up, rubbing her own head. It took her a few moments to stand up correctly.
"I'm going to bed, okay, sweetheart? Just remember to stay quiet and head to sleep at the time we agreed on, okay? No later than ten p.m."
Cream, still feeling worried for her mother, just let out a quiet but understandable, "Okay." Vanilla looked at her daughter reassuringly.
"It's alright, dear; I'm sure I'll be better in the morning. Have a nice rest of your night." She headed to her room, taking some headache medicine with water before laying down and shutting her door.
Cream, meanwhile, finished washing the dishes used to make dinner and went back to her room, almost completely forgetting what happened before in her game, and opened it back up.
Cooking Mama opened up normally with Mama giving her opening line, but it was different instead of "Welcome to Cooking Mama!" The game played a slightly strange-sounding audio clip that said, "We Welcome You To Cooking Mama."
Something else was strange about Mama; her kerchief was a dark blueish colour.
Cream slowly blinked and rubbed her eyes with one of her ears as she was reminded of what happened before. "Huh? But… her kerchief is meant to be pink? And what happened before? Also, she's never said it like that before!" Cream got re-hooked onto the game.
Cream decided to keep playing for the rest of her night, but nothing else seemed out of the ordinary. This confused the young girl deeply, but at about nine thirty, she decided to finally stop playing the game.
She brushed her teeth and got ready for bed as she lay down. She set a timer on her phone for an hour before school so she could wake up nice and early and have enough time to make her mom's soup.
She soon settled down and fell asleep, slowly thinking about what had happened today. As she fell asleep, her switch turned on, and she played an audio clip.
"Wow, even better than Momma!" as it began to leak a very odd black goop, and very tar-like worms slowly crawled out and towards Cream.
