pastries are his ultimate comfort food... he'll make himself sick eating fancy lad snack cakes (and often does) but he REALLY goes crazy when he finds someone making things fresh in the wasteland. he's going to try every sweet bread the wasteland has to offer if it kills him....
3. What's a secret passion of theirs?
... i don't think he has one, lol. he's very open about things he enjoys.
27. What's their favorite childhood memory?
he would probably have a different answer for this every time you asked him as he is painfully sentimental. the farther back you get, the fuzzier the feelings. but something he misses the most is how routine life was... same time every day he'd be in the clinic with his dad and jonas while they did paperwork, and he'd try to mimic their mannerisms while playing with his crayons.
he misses when the biggest decision he'd ever have to make was which drawing should go up on the wall.
probably nat. she's lived a very eventful life and she's not about to let it go to waste. even though some of her memory is spotty, she's more than okay with embellishing things here and there. i can definitely picture one of her shows at the tops being a kind of comedy set about stories from her life... even the dark ones. can't change her husband's murder, may as well laugh about it!
27. Which OC is the most hypocritical?
christopher. he is constantly giving advice he can't follow and getting upset at people for doing things he also does. he will nitpick your health while he's on death's door and not see the problem. rules for thee and not for me and all that... it comes from a place of love usually but that doesn't make it any less aggravating.

3. Is your character obsessed with anything?
yes!!! she's obsessed with the continuous documentation of history. sure there's plenty of other people keeping up with what happened hundreds of years ago, but who's writing down what's happening now? she is!! this also connects to her interest in photography and why she collects cameras. gotta have some photos to go in those history books!
6. If your character could erase one thing from the world, what would it be?
super mutants... she's actually pretty terrified of them, and the way the brotherhood talks about them reinforces this fear. she refuses to go anywhere they have a lot of camps set up, which is ironic considering where she chose to work and live, but she has a few secret passageways to get in and out of DC without running into them too much.
21. Who does your character think about when they want to feel safe?
probably her mom... she has vivid memories of her mom never allowing herself to be intimidated in front of her kids by littlehorn & co's goons, and how she'd comfort her and her siblings after they left. a little reminder to herself when to put on a brave face and when it's okay to be vulnerable...

FO3’s are... laughs. i think it's well accepted that we don't get a lot of material for some of them, but there's a lot of context clues for others. i've really only ever traveled with dogmeat, star paladin cross, and fawkes when they feel relevant to the story progression...
i think i'll select cross as the fav since i think it's interesting to integrate her into the LW's story after losing their father. don't talk to me about her and the LW travelling to megaton and stopping at 101, mirroring the journey james made with her don't TALK to me

it's so hard to say who's "best" in NV because there's a lot more to consider... actual gameplay functionality + quests + personality all work together to make a complete companion, and each one kind of slots in different places for me personally...
boone and arcade feel like the fandom darlings to me and i can get why. they kinda have everything going for them, both fucking at combat, having useful perks, and having stirring stories. raul feels like he'd be next on that list but less loved (unfortunately. sigh)
don't TALK to me about how i think the girl characters kind of got shafted with their perks. they're way more niche and not as applicable to all characters like the boys' are. it makes them feel a little less desirable to have around and that makes me freaking mad
that being said i do think veronica or cass is my favorite... i just love their personalities so much, i'll keep having them around in their relevant playthroughs just because i want them there so bad. those are my girls and i love them with all my heart <3

man... i have a good number of hours in FO4, but i seriously don't know what i did in it. Laughs. i've only really played as Andy, who's rocking that goody-two-shoes Minute Man General moment, so i don't think i expanded much beyond the introductory companions...
i remember feeling so strongly about piper i love her so much... if i'm in a boston themepark it feels right to have a boston girl running around with me... otherwise i think i ran with preston, but that was largely for minuteman stuff. idk man it's fallout 4
being bullied growing up already taught him that niceness can be feigned, so he's wary of everyone he meets to an extent... he still likes to believe in the inherent goodness of people, just not enough to blindly trust whoever starts sweet talking at him. you gotta be in it for the long con if you're gonna manipulate him, lol
20. How do they approach the law? Are they straight and narrow or loose with the rules or something else?
there were always some rules christopher questioned back in the vault, but he didn't like to rock the boat too much and was generally a law-abiding stickler. always the first kid in the class to go OOOOHH I'M TELLING!!!
there aren't really any laws in the capital wasteland, so that went out the window for a while. he had no one to tattle to! until new vegas, at least, where he realizes that tattling on someone can literally cost lives. another big shakeup to his worldview.
26. What is their biggest regret?
i don't think he could pick just one. he regrets telling his father he didn't forgive him for leaving the vault. he regrets not doing something to stop autumn before james did. he regrets not waking up early enough to save jonas. he regrets even going to bed the night before everything. he basically regrets not being omniscient and not being able to make perfect decisions every time...
