every raid is clever breachers at least, or whatever their ideoligion allows for defaults ; recurring people have more inference time and memetic intake around colony vibes, based on their character. luciferium farming with prisoner raiders is a way of giving yourself a recurring villain a little: one of the big colonies, I would give it to less-developed-than-civil-union places (tribals in vanilla: I often run a few things from vanilla expanded, but all the non-lovecraft-WoD superpower setups get so overpowered unless you are avoiding it. for example, I did a raider necromancer compound in RoM: it would be 'some set of zombies, as backed up by chain-shotguns or so', and every door was a 3-safe_end short-sightline single entry micromaze, to make melee as advantageous as possible, kind of like how you might design an odyssey ship that's circular enough to not do a killbox (it makes sense for a ship)

My laptop's died: it was a backup in case the earlier one died that I bought in 2022 for $400, so I've had my money's worth, but it's still inconvenient. A friend should be giving me an old desktop of theirs in a couple of days, so I'm not totally bereft of non-phone technology. Even so, I'm not looking forward to the recovery and transfer process: I'll need to extract my files and such, which may take a while.
