11. is there an unpopular character you like that the fandom doesn’t? why?
hmm, i can't think of a character i both like and is unpopular. unless you count zodiark, and i don't actually consider him a proper character. but that's a whole essay i'm not going to get into right now.
my real answer is has to be lyse hext or minfilia warde. i think both suffer a little from the crime of being female characters, and i see a lot of 'she's boring' or 'she's annoying' in fandom at large, and i heartily disagree. both have male characters who have similar arcs and are more widely adored for them, so i really side eye some of the negativity i see surrounding them. especially lyse, specifically. i will never be convinced that if lyse were a dude she would not be one of the top ships in this fandom. she's tough, flawed, cares so much, not always agreeable, and many other things that are highly valued in male blorbo characters.
