Hi sorry to bother you, maybe you or your followers can help me, I'm trying to find a fic I read but I only remember some sporadic things: dean is a former prostitute and doesn't fuck face to face, cas tries to force him one time, then they meet Gordon in a shop and he's an ex client of dean's and so castiel finds out about dean's ex profession, and after dean tells him his story cas gets a call from work and he has to go away and so dean believes that cas is angry w/ him, then some time 1/2

Some time later dean finds out that cas is writing a book about him and they have a big fight and dean moves out (he was living w/ cas) and goes back living with Charlie. Later dean reads another book cas wrote after they broke up and he goes to a conference where cas is presenting the book and he talks with him and asks a number of things to cas in order to forgive him. They live happily ever after. I’m going crazy, I can’t find this anywhere…Sorry again to bother you, hope you can help me

As he struggles to reconcile the person he yearns to be with what his family and friends expect of him, a fateful choice exposes just how fragile his life in the suburbs is, and possibly risks losing the best friend he's ever had.

Comments: 10/10. Dean moves to Lawrence when he’s 10 and instantly becomes best friends with Cas. They remain best friends until they’re 17, when Dean realizes that he’s in love with Cas. After some hilarious fumbling around, they get together, and become a sickeningly sweet couple. However, Dean freaks out about Cas going away to college, he acts out which causes John to decide to sent him to military school. So Dean runs away on his motorcycle. This is a super sweet and fluffy but also angsty fic and it’s truly amazing. It’s really good and I can’t say enough good things about it. Happy ending!

Comments: 8/10 where stripper!Dean is as emotionally constipated as all other versions of Dean, and they both have more than their own share of trust issues. This fic is considered a classic in the fandom, and I think everyone should at least scan through it.

Okay so I read Suburban War by squeemonster.  And of course, I have read squeemonster’s Have Love, Will Travel so I had high expectations and boy, I wasn’t disappointed. First off, it’s a destiel fanfiction. It’s the perfect amount of angst, plot, smut and fluff. I have been avoiding this fic for a while because it’s a growing up together fic and I prefer the older fics but this works really well and hell, I have a massive soft spot of pining!dean which this fic definitely has. It’s 104K so quite a whopper and don’t do what I did which was start reading it at midnight because it’s pretty addictive and I ended up staying up until 5am to finish it. Anyway, I highly recommend it but of course, check for trigger warnings! Here’s squeemonster’s summary of the fic:
