Tried drawing a Sepioteuthis last night and despite the 2 attempts, both ended up looking like truck nuts to me. There are other issues with proportion and all that, but whatever, it's practice. They really do look bulby on the bottom like that sometimes.
Just found out about the film of the baby colossal squid and felt like draw in my own. Now the number of tentacles is wrong because I got tired of freehanding them.

The video I saw of the baby squid the translucent skin looked kind of scaly and that’s why I added a scale marks

Bobtail squid... are they squid?
Depends who you ask. Bobtails are spectacular, cute as hell, often brightly colored, & mostly active at night. As far as the cephalopod family tree goes, bobtails ar clumped with cuttlefish and bottletails, but on their own little clump within that ... clump.
Sometimes in the past, people used the word "squid" to name a cephalopod we didn't know what to do with (see: vampire squid). Personally I think we should just do what the Japanese have opted for and call any cephalopod with 10 limbs an "ika". They're all together in evolution anyway. What's in a name, ya know?

D&D character I have getting possessed by the horrors of war. He's not completely gone, but when you get him worked up it takes a bit to snap him out of it. When he's done he's usually exhausted. Not his fault! He's very polite, it's just that his body is kind of like a lightning rod for magic and, well, when it takes over, it takes over. His name is Ambrose. He is a Professor.
i think hes at his best when hes a bit silly. also i hate drawing his bangs. my 3rd redesign will fix this.... i hope
