Hey can I rant about Gururumon? I'm gonna rant about Gururumon.

Gururumon, if you didn't know, is a digimon that was introduced in Digimon World for the PS1.

In that game, there were a number of digimon who were recolors of existing ones. This was done mainly for memory, iirc. It was easier to change the texture. That's how we got random digimon like Psychemon

A few of these were just straight up recolors, like Psychemon I believe. However, there were a few with differences to their original, like Piddomon, a variant of Angemon made for the game.

Gururumon was one of these cases. He had similar coloring to Garurumon, but notably lacked the large blade like fur pieces Garurumon had. His tail also ended in one instead of two.

But for whatever fucking reason, after World, Bandai just decided to... undo the changes? Yeah, in every installment after the initial games that used these models, Gururumon was changed to just be a flat out recolor

Even the fucking Reference Book art is just a recolor!

WHY DID THEY DO THIS?! WHY REVERSE THE INDIVIDUALITY OF A DESIGN?!

OGREMON'S VARIANTS ALL HAVE DIFFERENCES LIKE THEIR HORNS!

PIDDOMON IS STILL DIFFERENT! HELL, YOU GAVE HIM AN ENTIRE FUCKING EVOLUTION LINE!

So now Gururumon is constantly seen and thought of as one of the laziest recolors. "Even its name is just Garurumon spelt wrong." IT WASN'T ORIGINALLY LIKE THIS BANDAI YOU MORONS WHY?!

hey y'all stop posting ur akechi hate in literally any tag. he's a complex character and if u can't see that bc the line between fiction and reality is so distorted for u that is a ok but I'm rly tired of wanting to see art and instead getting bullshit it's fucking annoying. i do not care if you hate a character, but stop ruining the tag for those of us that like said character like fuck is that really so hard to understand just be a nice person and keep ur negativity to urself so the rest of us don't have to fucking suffer k thanks bye

God's plan.

It's something I hear others be told so often. In trans communities, tragedies, etc. and it's always some stupid "justification" for the bad thing that happens. It's the reason trans people shouldn't be allowed gender affirming care, it's the reason someone shouldn't be upset when their pet gets deathly ill.

And my question is just... why? Why do you say it's "God's plan?" Why do you shove responsibility into an unseen force in an act of fear mongering or being an absolute asshole?

I'm not religious. Closest would be that I tell myself Lucifer is playing with my life like a dollhouse. Even so, I grew up in religious environments. My father is religious, my grandma is religious, my elementary and highschool were religious.

And yet I don't remember ever, not even once, hearing the words, "God's plan."

So I ask you, the one reading. If you believe in God, or if you're religious, what does it mean? Help me try to understand this ridiculous excuse for human cruelty under the name of a god that is long dead.

God forbid I need a PRN, because if I'm near my breaking point, they will pause all activity to tell me they are getting the prn, including getting the prn.

They still haven't found my souvenir from Japan, that they confiscated day 1 for being a blade (it's a letter opener) and I'm convinced I've lost it forever.
