A rare glimpse of where the Blue Buses depot used to be located on Squires Gate Lane, unfortunately it's just the corner of the property with the actual depot to the right out of view.
The junction with Lytham Road can be seen in the distance where the traffic lights are.
Blue Buses were taken over by Blackpool Transport in 1996, the livery of the bus in the photo is still only partially completed.

The junction in the period photograph is of the original route of Squires Gate Lane, back then called Fold Lane, which does still exist today - it is now a dead-end access road for several houses.
Squires Gate Station building on Squires Gate Lane, South Shore.
Although the station itself has existed since the 1860's, the station building opened in 1931, shortly followed by the opening of Squires Gate Bridge the following year.
The station building was removed in the late 1990's after decades of decline, being reduced back to its original single track line that exists today.

Halfway House pub at the junction of St. Anne's Road and Squires Gate Lane, South Shore.
The road going off into the distance in the period photograph was known as Leach Lane which is a continuation of Leach Lane in St. Annes today, although nowadays it is known as Amy Johnson Way and no longer grants access to St. Anne's due to Blackpool Airport runways getting in the way.
