These two best friends, on the guestroom bed which they consider their bed, intently watching squirrels on the birdfeeders below.

I grabbed a shot of this light funny moment on the morning of January 6. At the time I never would have guessed how quickly the day would turn from a simple moment like this to the horrifying, shocking, and scary events that unfolded later in the afternoon at the Capitol building in Washington DC.

A Chickoree (Douglas Pine Squirrel) has found his way onto the deck, and Jeep has discovered the squirrel. After being forbidden from slapping at the squirrel through the sliding glass door, Jeep has taken up watch on the deck railing from the window.

He is plotting something.....

Fannie is watching a squirrel eat out of the bird feeder. They just take the roof off and get in. Can you believe that?.
