Diary Ask: 🚫 (free choice) because I'm a terrible person
🚫 - An entry about something my muse considers a personal failure.
I should’ve fucking told him.
I knew it. Bryn knew that I knew it. God above, he sounded so broken when he said it. “You must be happy.”
He and I both knew I didn’t trust that slimy bitch but,
baby boy, to see you hurt will never make me happy.
Lord.
Hell hath no fury like a mother scorned.
Tonight I’ll stay with Brynden. He needs someone there.
Tomorrow we open the gates and let slip the dogs of war.
I’ll end that bitch if it’s the last fucking thing I do. She won’t get away to what she did to my son. Brynden will mourn her, will miss her, but he’ll move on. He’s my son, it’s what we do.
Revenge is what we do.
Excerpt; the private memoir of Atla Stark. Entry dated May 11, 2001.
Concerning the betrayal of Gemma Kelly and the injury of Brynden Stark.

Okay so:Brynden Arthur James Stark is the resident medic and boss of the saints. He was born on October 11th in Ireland to Atla Stark. He grew up in Ireland, studied medicine in Ireland, and would’ve been married and spent the rest of his life in Ireland had it not been for his Fiancée, Gemma, attempting to murder him.
She set their house on fire after stabbing Brynden in the gut (he was knocked unconscious by his fall following her stabbing) and fled, and only with the help of an old veteran woman neighbour did Brynden survive the incident. Afterwards, he fell into a deep depression and was encouraged by his mother to travel and get away from the problem while her people and the authorities tried to track down Gemma and bring her to justice.
So Brynden went off to travel, visiting all over in Europe and then North America. He stayed briefly in Stilwater, visiting his uncle for a bit. He was only going to be there for a little while, until the fateful night where he found himself caught in the crossfire from the four major gangs of Stilwater. He ended up staying, finally finding a purpose in helping out the Saints as their resident medic and Doctor. The saints never knew where he came from or even his name, and he was only called the doc or the playa. He never spoke, never got into inter gang arguments, and helped everyone without demanding pay or retribution.
—Atla Stark was born on September 15th in Scotland to an Irish father and a Scottish mother. She has one younger brother, Ragnar. Her father and mother divorced when she was young, and she remembers very little of her mother as her mother left her and Ragnar in her father’s care and never interacted with them after the split.
Atla was the heiress of the rich and powerful Stark family and the next in line to take over the Nothing’s Men, her ancestors group of Robin Hood-esque thieves and philanthropists that had turned into a Robin Hood/Kingsman-esque organization with time. Atla became leader after her father’s murder, and would go on to track down her father’s murderer and bring him to justice only a week after being made leader.
She’s known as a philanthropist and as a an “influential person.” In truth, she runs a network of hackers, thieves, spies, and vigilantes. She’s a genius philosopher and she tries to be as good a person she can. Atla has only Brynden as her heir. She has only recently reconnected with Brynden’s Father, Max Tullius, a Canadian born detective in Ireland who she frequently works with in high profile cases. Atla could be considered the modern Sherlock Holmes, if Sherlock Holmes was a fiery bisexual feminist woman with a passion for collecting antiques.
—Erik Green is a small town farm boy with dreams of becoming a police officer. He moved to Steelport when he was 19, and attended university there. His father hadn’t been able to loan much financial support to his son, so Erik started working at a coffee shop to help support himself.
Erik was in trouble though. The coffee shop he worked at was right in the middle of luchadore territory, and he often found luchadores in his coffee shop. The night the saints claimed that territory was the night Erik found himself jumped in the alleyway by a group of luchadores. Erik fought back, and found himself saved and yanked onto the motorbike of the one and only Brynden Stark.
That started a sudden friendship between Brynden and Erik. After patching him up, Brynden took Erik under his wing and paid for his schooling. Erik went on to find himself losing faith in the justice system however. He no longer wanted to be a cop, instead feeling that his determination would be better put to use somewhere else.
Erik became Bryndens PA shortly after quitting his job at the coffee shop. He never joined the police force, instead choosing to become a private investigator with the aid of Brynden and the saints. It was a case of history repeats, as the same story was true for Max and Atla.
Ask about your OCs? Tell me a fact about your saints row boss/bosses.
Forgive my formatting because I’m on mobile lol, but yoooo
Okay so technically I really only have one boss, Brynden Stark. He’s an Irish Doctor who ended up in Stilwater visiting some family after his fiancée tried to murder him and cover it up with a house fire. Long story short, fucky shit happened and he ended up somehow playing medic to a bunch of the saints.
He’s a surprisingly talented chef and he’s put his medical training to good use among the saints. In AUs he acts as a sort of Doctor/advisor to @melissaknowsthings’s boss Kira.
And with Brynden comes Atla Stark, his mom and the leader of an Irish Robin Hood-Esque group called the nothing’s men. She’s old money, runs the stark estate, blackmails corrupt government officials and is generally a charming puckish rogue.
There’s also Erik Green, who’s not the boss either. He’s Brynden’s PA, a barista from Steelport who was in the right place right time to help Bryn drive back some luchadores and earn himself the attention of Brynden.
And fun facts I spose? None of the saints know Bryndens real name until around the time they start taking over Steelport, Atla’s got an interest in repurposing old World War II radios, and Erik can drive stick and grew up on a farm.
of all the girls that ran with wolves, i was not the smartest or the meanest or the best. but god, let them know that i was loved.
let them know that even now, even through six feet of dirt, i can hear them howl for me instead of the moon.
⚜ Ruth Connell as Atla Stark ⚜
honestly the “brynden as person in the inception field getting into a bad job and being forced into witness protection” is probably the best bullshit reason i have as to why he would ever set foot in stilwater, but like
what if i brought the nothings men into the saints row world with Brynden? Atla, the irish crime boss with an empire thats honestly more on the chaotic good side, with her son as her second. Bryn would be a medic with a knack for explosives and poisons. Ragnar the big brutish enforcer.
the saints were also made to keep people safe in stilwater, but the nothing’s men have been around legit for like two centuries in ireland trying to protect people.
but also like, kingsman Atla and Brynden which would also require a crossover but it would be so fucking sick oh my god
