It never truly feels like the holiday season until the signs for the Winter Wonderland go up.

That, mixed with the promise of snow this weekend, have officially put me in the holiday spirit. I finished helping decorate the apartment today with some Hanukkah decorations and even went to the boarding house to help Shelby decorate over there before work yesterday. 

All of my holiday shopping is completed, my wishlist sent to those who need it and separated into Hanukkah/Christmas/Birthday presents for easier understanding and now I just get to drink hot cocoa, eat cupcakes and cookies, and enjoy my favorite time of year.

Cooper Anderson has decided to grace us all with his presence through the entire month of December. Something about me “needing” my “biggest role model” around.

I know Thanksgiving is only two days away,

and I’m sure everyone has plans - the Corcoran and Berry extravaganza will be nothing if not interesting, that’s for certain - but yours truly has landed herself her very own job. That’s right, you’re looking at the newest and greatest bartender of The Pub since - well, probably ever. 

I start as an official employee (without the ‘trainee’ sticker they stuck on me this past weekend) on Thursday night, which means I want all of you there as soon as you’ve had your fill of family. And don’t think just  because we’re friends you get out of tipping me - I have to pay rent somehow, and I’d really like to stop depending on my fathers for my sense of income sometime.

Completely understandable that you’d all be shaken up at the moment, but if one more stranger stops me on the sidewalk and asks me to look at their palm, I might actually, officially lose my mind. Palm reading is an Asian tradition, and I’m only Filipino on my father’s side. I don’t know what your hands mean other than you really need to trim your fingernails.

Glad we could clear that up.

I’m beyond tired

I was up late for the mourning moon, and this morning Beth woke me up with the noise of pots and pans; apparently she was trying to make me breakfast in bed with the help of my mom. It was so sweet so we just snuggled in bed for a awhile, but now I’m exhausted. At least I don’t have bags under my eyes.

Rachel Berry is officially on hold at Yale.

It just didn’t feel right heading back to New Haven, not yet, and while it took some...coercion to leave mid-semester with no academic backlash, plus ensuring my placement come next Fall as a junior (once again), I managed to achieve exactly what I had needed to before packing up my dorm and heading home.  Or, sort of home.  As many of you probably know, my fathers moved to Boston once I graduated high school, and living in the boarding house with Shelby didn’t really feel all that comfortable,  given recent events, so if you’re looking for me, I’ll be taking advantage of that empty room Santana swears she wasn’t saving for me in the middle of town. I might even be tempted to get a job while I’m here - after all, I don’t know how much sitting around and stewing I can really manage. The only problem is just what sort of job to do. Maybe I’ll have to put all those bartending skills from Yale parties to good use for once.
