This is going to be an explicit suggestion...

I was reading T and S' sex scenes and realized that condoms will probably be used in all the first time scenes, depending on the characters' sexual organs. So, since L yearns for MC for a long time, I think it would be interesting if their first time had the option of not using a condom. Of course, there are risks, but I think it would be in character if L asked MC not to use a condom and to experience skin-to-skin contact without barriers. Also, it would be a nice detail that differentiates this sex scene from the others.

I already included this option in L's Side Story because it shows a certain level of trust between the MC and L and suits their dynamic well, which means I absolutely plan to add it in the main story as well.

Depending on the RO and the point in the story at which the RO and MC can have their first time, condoms might not be necessary because:

Reproduction among supernatural beings is a complex subject that rarely allows for unplanned pregnancies [with certain species being exceptions].

Most supernatural beings are immune to sexually transmitted diseases.

Spoilers for silksong below, i'm talking about what species team Cherry uses for making characters (like insects, arachnids, plants, fungi, parasites, etc). This is a rambling post where i don't reach conclusions lol

Trying to figure out how many species groups there are in the Hollow Knight world that we know of so far and but also having to remember that (iirc) Team Cherry said they don't just make bugs from real life but also just make shit up some times. But also there aren't JUST bugs so i'm trying to figure out what they DO allow within the world of HK cause i now for a damn fact that Birds & Frogs don't (the crawlings just LOOK like birds) and Groal IS NOT A FROG! HE HAS WINGS! AND SIX LIMBS!?!?!?!?!

I feel like it's most obviously bugs (insects & arachnids) but also generally invertebrates (jellyfish + slugs) and also nature, more specifically plants and fungi cause we got multiple different kinds of Moss enemies from both Hallownest and Pharloom.

The reason i'm curious about the species groups is cause i don't think Greyroot or White Lady are bugs or plants but, as many also think, parasites. But then i realized that Higher + Pale beings can be any bug species but just a god like form, y'know. like. White Lady is just a divine Parasite like how gods irl are either just divine Humans or divine Animals. but also like... what the hell is Grandmother Silk??? She's not a spider or Pharlid and she only has one "leg" and can fly, looks so much like a human that it was shocking. Like she's so intriguing to me cause i can't place her within Bugs, Plants, Fungi, Invertebrates, or Parasites (ignore the fact that Parasites can fall under Invertebrates). I mean i can't place where the Wraiths go either, or Lace & Phantom cause they're all made of Silk. Is Grandmother Lace the only Higher Being we've seen where's a kind of divine material (silk) rather than a divine bug?

but then there's also the Nightmare Heart, not a divine bug either. So. I can guess anything can be divine in HK. But i know for a fact that we haven't seen mammals, and so far we've only seen bugs that LOOK like avians and amphibians!

Will we have the opportunity to talk about having babies in the future with RO? Also, I would like to know RO's opinion on having babies before and after MC.

All I can say is that the reproduction of supernatural beings has its own lore, and it will be discussed in detail if the MC expresses a desire to know this information.

I also included more information on that subject in the Q&A section of the "Patreon Content Masterlist", since some of the choices presented in the side stories may raise certain questions about the consequences:

About pregnancy: All female ROs have canonically established reasons why they cannot just become pregnant.  This may include the use of birth control pills [which are also prescribed to regulate menstruation and have this effect (for human ROs, if there are any)], or having a specified reason integrated into the worldbuilding [for supernatural ROs].

Fun fact: I actually shared a few more details about this subject with only one reader who sent me their SS fanfic, as it unintentionally touched on a theme related to this topic.

That [just like the fanfic itself] made me really happy because I love it when readers can feel the story even before it fully unfolds.

Hi, Jenna. Hope everything's going well! I was just curious, is Sanguine Sky set in the real world with some fictional locations or in a fictional world that closely resembles ours? I'm not sure I came across anything that explicitly confirms either. Thanks!

The story is set in a fictional world that closely resembles our own.

I chose this setting because it's the most comfortable for me to write in, since my portrayal of Fallenmor has been heavily shaped by various TV series [The Vampire Diaries, Charmed, Dark], and I can't even imagine placing it in a specific real-world location.

I suppose I could have done more research to change that, but it would still feel like an outsider's perspective [since where I'm from has nothing in common with the setting I write about].

On one hand I believe MC is a fallen angel and our sister is an angel assigned to watch over us. Which... I guess would mean she could maybe be possessed by one?

On the other the mentions of the full moon makes me think MC could also be a werewolf, and that the latest victim is actually one we killed ourselves.

I can't wait to find out what's true and what's not.

I was curious about werewolves and vampires in this setting. Does the concept of a bond-mate exists within Sanguine Sky?

The full moon is a significant event not just for werewolves but for many supernatural beings. It empowers and influences their existence in both beneficial and detrimental ways.

This will be a central theme in the second half of the story. If I had to describe it in one word, it would be… questionable.

Hello author! Just wanted to say that I absolutely adore your IF! One of the things that really caught my attention is the layered romance mechanics (and tbh the first time I’ve seen jealousy mechanics discussed in-depth in IFs), and it amazes me to see the thought process behind the IF development. Basically, it was a “went for the gameplay, stayed for the vibes” case for me—I really, really love that sense of foreboding I get from your writing, and it really does feel like you (MC) is just a nudge away from falling into the abyss, figuratively and literally speaking.

I know that the story is romance-focused, but will we be getting worldbuilding/lore content sometime in the future? Not necessarily about the MC or the ROs (fine, maybe a teensy bit of something about the forces that haunt the MC, haha), but maybe something about Fallenmor and the setting of the story?

Of course! After Chapter 5, a section dedicated to lore will be added to the stat menu, with more information becoming available as the story progresses.

Additionally, each RO will provide more insight into specific aspects of the supernatural and… abnormal elements.

I'd also like to mention that each RO's route will change certain parts of the story, so not all points will be consistent.

It's a deliberate decision, as I want each RO's route to reveal something new and make readers question which version is actually true, or even decide the answer for themselves.
