Contessa
I walk down the hallways, finally able to call myself a senior. One more year stands in the way of my college dream, Princeton University. I see people that I don’t care about ever seeing again. I mentally count down the days, and roll my eyes. I can’t wait until graduation. It’s only the first day and I’m drooling at the mouth thinking about summer.
I turn a hallway, heading towards the senior patio where my friends and I planned to meet in our group chat years ago. We couldn’t wait to finally be able to sit there at the top table and “rule” the school. I can see the patio in the distance and I see a couple friends standing to the side, staring at the table. I follow their glares and instantly find Spencer Kingston’s eyes on me. He has a smug smile on his face as his ass sits on the top of our table. Oh hell no.
He knows this is my seat. I can’t help but be a bit amused that he thinks I will let this slide. I hate him. Despise him. I catch up to Angie, Darren, Eliza, and Aiden at the side of the patio. I don’t stop or say anything, instead, I walk straight over to my table.
“What the hell do you think you’re doing?” I hiss at Spencer. His friends look back and forth between us but Spencer doesn’t take his eyes off of me.
Spencer
Her eyes connect with mine and I can see pure hatred pulsing through her veins. Her eyes row darker and she keeps her eyes on me as she makes her way towards me. If there is one thing everyone knows about Contessa Baker, it’s that she has wanted to sit at the table I am currently sitting on top of since freshman year. This table is at the front of the senior patio and it’s her favorite table. Half of her little posy join her and they stop in front of the table. She crosses her arms over her shoulders and sticks out her right hip.
“What the hell do you think you’re doing?” she asks. Her tone gives me enough satisfaction but I decide to play along a bit longer.
“I’m not sure what you’re talking about…” I answer, glancing behind her. I know she hates when people don’t look directly at her.
“You aren’t funny, get up and go mess with someone else,” she snaps, letting her arms drop to her side. She gets so butt hurt over the smallest things and I find it amusing. Of course, more of her posy join her including her dick boyfriend, Chandler Walsh. I stand, smirking, and step aside for Contessa. I make a dramatic bow and move my arms towards the table like gesturing a queen towards her thrown. She groans.
“Fuck off Spencer!” she says, pushing me away. Chandler stares me down as I walk away, Clark and Oliver following me.
Chandler
I walk towards the senior patio after working out in the gym. I was totally working out inside of Bridget. Working out my anger and confusion and love for Tessa. I bury my feelings the most I can inside of Bridget’s pussy in the mornings. Almost every morning since the beginning of June when Tessa and I started fighting. To everyone outside of our little love triangle, no one knows Tessa and I aren’t doing so hot in our relationship at the moment. Of course, Tessa has no idea that Bridget knows because they are close friends. I have no idea what Tess would do to Bridget if she found out about us. Nothing good.
“Oh god, we’re so bad,” Bridget whispers as we cross the lawn, the patio coming into view.
“No, we aren’t. I love you, not her,” I tell her, looking her in the eyes. I keep my pace but she slows.
“Why don’t you break up with her then?” she wines, sticking out her bottom lip. I stop, letting her catch up, and we start walking faster again.
“I’ve told you this already. I just can’t right now. I can’t leave our relationship at the point it’s at right now after everything Tessa and I have been through. That just wouldn’t be right. Baby, I’m sorry, I just can’t right now,” I tell her. She stays quiet until we reach the corner of the patio.
“How did I get such a sweet and loving boy?” she asks, giggling.
“Boy?” I ask, acting offended. I hold my hand to my chest to make my words more dramatic, making her giggle more. I turn back towards the table to see Spencer sitting at Tessa’s table. If there was one people I hate more than everyone else, it’s Spencer. He’s such a douchebag, especially towards Tessa. It pisses me off. Only I can be an ass to Tessa. I walk up just as Spencer stands. He bows for Tessa and she pushes him off, telling him to fuck off. When she sees me, she wraps her arms around my neck, hugging me. I make eye contact with Bridget as she sits at the table. I sit next to Tessa on the side next to Bridget’s so I’m in the middle of both. I watch as Spencer runs around in the grass, kicking a soccer ball back and forth between different friends. I watch as his hot as hell girlfriend, Lennon Yates, walks up to him and presses her lips against his.
“God,” Tessa comments obviously looking at the same thing I am. My hand skims over Bridget’s leg but she moves it away slowly so only I notice. I sigh and stay quiet until school starts.
