Alpha House, Day 14, Part 9
Scot: *thinking* That's the door. That's them. I hope it goes alright!
Tank: General, there's something important I want to talk to you about. It's personal.
Buzz: Go ahead. Spit it out.
Tank: I... I...
Buzz: I haven't got all day, boy. Spit it out.
Tank: I'm gay.
Buzz: ...
Tank: ...
Buzz: Right...
Tank: ...
Buzz: ...
Tank: That's it? "Right"?
Buzz: What do you want me to say? I knew college had turned you soft, but I didn't expect this...
Tank: Loving a man doesn't make me soft.
Buzz: Watch your tone, boy! ... You're seeing someone, then? A man?
Tank: Yes, sir.
Buzz: Who?
Tank: Scot. The sheriff's son. You've met him. You... liked him.
Buzz: That was before I knew he was a queer.
Tank: Hey! Don't - I won't let you talk about someone I care about like that!
Buzz: You won't let me?
Tank: And if Scot's "a queer" then so am I! Whether you accept it or not, it's still true.
Buzz: Fine. Whatever. You're still my son. You still have a reputation to uphold. And if you want my respect, you've damn well got to earn it.
Tank: Yes, sir... I'm done for now. We can talk another time.
Buzz: Tank! Where are you going?
Tank: I'm done talking, General. Please see yourself out.
