Uhm.
The only noise present was the soft whirring from the back of the rectangular metal box with a glass door, a boundary between his gloved fingers and the rows of drinks (?) with weird 'press-me' thing labeled with the price number and the currency he didn't know of. Oh, and there's some kind of slot below.
Poor Knave didn't know that it was what you'd call a vending machine. He didn't even know where this place was, having stepped fresh out of the Centipede. (Yeah, yeah, sucks on you for not asking Caterpillar to assist you. Now you're lost and she may not be able to locate you, ah dammit.)
But ah, matters of the Caterpillar Alley aside, he really was curious. So the moment he saw the blue-haired person coming near, he waved a little at her to pique her attention. Then he jotted down quickly on his note before showing it to her, that said:
Excuse me, do you know what this is?
