Mal Du Pays Portrait Edits!

In case you didn't know, for the past couple days I've been editing Siffrin's dialogue portraits to be Mal Du Pays.

[tumblr] only allows 10 pictures per post, so here's my 10 favorite sprites!

Major Act 5 spoilers, by the way.

1) Neutral 3

A nice baseline. Nothing too fancy, just regular ol' Mal Du Pays.

2) Joke 1 and Joke 2

Very silly. It doesn't always get a mouth, but come on, you can't have the joke face without the mouth. It stays closed, though.

3) With Dagger 1 and With Dagger 2

I thought these were cool. I had to include them in here. And look, darkless gloves!

4) Yelling 1 and Yelling 4

Still no mouth. But make no mistake, it is yelling. Just without a mouth.

5) Sigh

POUTING MAL, POUTING MAL!

6) Ecstatic 2

Okay! Here's a little detail that I thought would be neat. The more negative emotion, the tighter the spiral in its eye. So you can see here, the spiral is pretty loose! That means it's happy.

7) Startled 1 and Startled 2

Little detail I like here, Mal Du Pays's mouth isn't open as wide as Siffrin's in the corresponding sprite. I don't think it's the type to open its mouth any more than it has to.

8) Um 1 and Um 2

I think these ones are funny.

9) Unhinged 1, Unhinged 3, and Unhinged 4

Look at it! It's so not okay! And even here, it doesn't open its mouth. That is a treat saved for special occasions.

10) What 1, What 2, and What 3

I really like this set. I like how scared Mal Du Pays looks. And a rare open mouth moment! So, in this case, What 1 has the small open mouth, and What 2 has a bigger open mouth. But since Mal Du Pays tends to keep its mouth closed, I gave What 1 no mouth and What 2 the small open mouth. Neat, huh?

And yeah! Those are my sprite edits! I hope you like them :3

Day 15. Captain

Kinda random, but if you're looking for cheap Nendoroid sized clothes, Dollar Tree has got you.

I've seen these before and wondered how well they fit, just to see. Because while I can sew, I don't want to sew this small.

The dress does fit but the top bulks a little bit. But it's fixable. The thing about these is that the hem and sleeves are finished, but not the neckline. So it's just a raw edge. Also all the accessories fit. The shoes are snug and you cannot put socks on, but they work.

I do think out of the two, the shirt and jeans set is the better one. The jeans fit almost perfectly. The crotch is a lot lower, but that only takes a minute to fix in the sewing machine. But even then I think it's fine. The shirt fits perfect, again that raw neckline has to be fixed, but not bad for a 1.25. and the boots, while snug, do fit for the most part.
