can't read your Expedition 33 spoiler post (only in the flying waters😭), but i saw online the gameplay for the main story is about 30hours. how accurate was that for you?

yeah BIG SPOILERS in there no reading for you but aaaa i hope you're enjoying the game!

i think if you were doing just main story 30 hours is pretty accurate. my final playtime for beating the last boss ended up around 40 hours but i did do decent bit of side content and explored all of the main areas pretty thoroughly for extra paths and stuff, and i still have a good number of other optional bosses and a few minigames i haven't touched yet

one non-spoiler tip i would give is that it's reaaaaally easy to overlevel for the late game bosses if you do basically... any side content. so like, definitely don't feel the need to grind at all because the game does not assume that you will lol. the side content and more challenging bosses are really fun! but might be worth saving most of it until after you beat the main story if you're interested

it's so funny bc i'm pretty sure i followed you way back when bc you helped me with chen homework, and now we get to help you pick a career LOL

take the new role!! change is scary but it's gotta be done. your life and outlook will feel newer and fresher, everyone needs to rearrange things every now and then. plus pay raise, can't beat that

god yeah we have been mutuals FOREVER isn't that terrifying. i like knowing people have seen me on here stressing out about my GCSEs or whatever the fuck and now i'm like 'hey guys help me decide on which pension plan is better value' LMAO

sighhhhh yeah that's what basically everyone i've spoken to irl has told me, i think it's probably what we're leaning towards. it's just weird being in the position of leaving a good job because like, when i've had to change jobs before it has always been a very clear upgrade in basically every way, and this is the first time i've really ever had to properly analyse and compare the different factors. also because people SO RARELY seem to leave my current workplace outside of retiring or shifting around to other departments, so it makes you feel like you're making a mistake to even consider it lol

i am the same way with this podcaster's bar business. theyre selling merch to raise money but they only do it through direct email, like why not use the squarespace ads you keep reading to make yourself a site so i dont have to be nervous emailing you lolol

like you don’t even need to make a full on online shop or anything but at least post proper photos and prices and stuff publicly... cmon lads. its 2020 we live in hell but we have TECHNOLOGY now, don’t make me email you like it’s the middle ages

<3 <3 <3 she only just moved in yesterday actually so i was pretty chuffed! my starting villagers were plucky and flip who i wasn’t really THAT keen on tbh but they’re growing on me. i also have ozzie moving in tomorrow who i love so that’s exciting

i mean yeah that’s great i loooove the fantasy costco scenes but it’s not part of the story. once they get set in the story it’s mostly just griffin kind of reading a novel he wrote with them inputting some of the time. it’s still good and i love taz balance but it just wasn’t what i initially loved about the thing. the elevator bit in crystal kingdom was very funny tho

that’s true, griffin does heavily railroad everything once the story plot gets going. honestly though i do not get how anyone manages to DM ever in D&D because trying to balance coming up with an engaging plot and story with having basically no actual control over the main characters seems so hard omfg

i still enjoy griffin basically just reading me an audiobook novel so i don’t mind it personally, but i’ve heard other people say the same thing as you before and i totally get why. it’s one of the reasons i’ve been curious about starting critical role or one of the other popular D&D podcasts actually, to see how a more traditional campaign plays out when it’s not just griffin reading everything out (sorry griffin love u)

how long have you been living in japan, it seems like years or do you just keep visiting?

i’ve spent 2 years living here in total but they were two separate years with time spent in the uk inbetween- once from 2015-2016 when i was working as an english teacher, and then this time since september which has been for my study abroad part of my degree
