pov. you are me in 2013. freshly turned 11. finally realized this "star stable online" game i saw in a magazine is actually free to try!!! hellooo, a HORSE game, which is also online so i can talk to other horse girls?! DUH i need it. i got it, downloaded it, ah, character creator. this is who i will be in this game forever. a name... yes. Bella, after my previous hyperfixation, Bella Sara. surname... Highgirl. because unfortunately, you (which is to say, me) are swedish and don't know that "high" is not synonymous with "tall" (tall girl is still a stupid name so idk what i was on) and calling yourself "high girl" kind of insinuates drug usage. your parents apparently didn't care to warn you or didn't catch it. you are now Bella Highgirl for the next 13+ years.

yeaok i did draw og bella and i promptly remember why i never draw og bella. fuck that hairstyle. i unfortunately don't have any screenshots of 2013, that computer is long gone and i didn't understand things like... saving images on other places than the computer itself. i didn't know much at all </3 and when i finally did... it was google+ which is ALSO long gone. man.

I really gotta give it to sse… they went above and beyond with this one. This truly felt like I was playing a serious game whose developers have passion and love for it. I felt like a kid playing this quest.

Elizabeth showing up even as a memory got me all teary eyed. And the interactions between the soul riders (us included)… they were everything.

The animations, the sound design, the “camera” angles, the colours… what do I even praise first?

I understand why it took so long (considering they have to make weekly updates and all that jazz), though I wish we at least had a recap or replay ability for story quests because I didn’t remember much. And the things I do remember are from an era where the horses had edges and the game had a blurry effect.

Anyways, thanks sse, I loved this one
