Hello and welcome to today's post: women are cool!
I've been doing. so much. with my art lately, so I just wanted to sit down and do simple little redesigns to heal my soul (it worked) I don't have much to say for these except I think they turned out really sweet, please I just want our daily quest girlies to get some love too, this old model drives me insane.
Mary's stare is so haunting... well mine is too so I guess we're even.
From tiktok. This appeared on my FYP and I immediately thought it looked like Igor(?).
I've been moping around with art lately, but the nice old lady redesigns made me want to one myselffff. Pretty simple and lazy, but the 2008 model makes me grind my teeth.
I worked with the current 'old thin woman' model in mind, but I could see Elsa being more curvy for sure!! I think it'd be so nice for her and this design would work the same, I just wanted to give myself the constraints of working within a theme and parameter.
Does she make you hungry? She's using the certified hungry marketing colors. Truly a girlboss ahead of her time.
Also I just realized I never reread my notes on the picture please don't look too hard okay? Thank you so much.
Hermit redesign even though I didn't do anything too interesting or imaginative with him. I just like this trope of character designs and I always thought it was a shame his design never leaned into it. For someone so spiritually connected to the wild horses he also just looks like a grandpa I'd pass by in Kaufland.
I've taken inspiration from how these characters are usually portrayed in Slavic media and fairy tales. However I genuinely can't tell the Hermit's race? I think he's white? But if he isn't I am sorry for slav-washing him </3 These tropes and changes could be done with any other culture in mind, I just thought this fit and its something close to my heart.
I also gave up on the paint over after a while, I am sure you can tell LOL. His model is a mess, even more than I thought as I progressively worked on him. Looking back I should have used the new Gary Goldtooth model for this, but oh well. It was a mental exercise
Wanted to test out new brushes and ended up drawing Ydris because he has nice colors I like to work with :-)c I am not fully sold on the brushes but it turned out well enough LOL
We all know what time it is :-)
I'll see how much Halloween stuff I'll be able to do this year since I am keeping up with daily art prompts for ocs
