yumi & nikaro 💫
Do do do
I’m obsessed
i know im years late (and i havent finished the book yet) but i feel like sanderson created another accidental wlw in yumi. she and painter have a sweet relationship and all, but her immediate response to seeing akane is to believe that she's a GODDESS, with a brief detour through 'demon of temptation' before she decides akane is too beautiful for that. by the end of the next time they meet she has a whole laundry list of reasons someone might be in love with akane.
they're telling everyone she's his little sister, and i honestly would love if their relationship ends up like that: he's the cringefail 'older' brother who teases her but also supports her, and she's the awesome younger sister who calls him out and inspires him to be better. and also steals his crush.
I drew this FOREVER ago when I first read Yumi and the Nightmare Painter, but I was unhappy with it so I never posed it. But now, months later, I'm even more unhappy with never sharing it, so up it goes! Couldn't decide which version I prefer so I went with both
anyway also I love painter. what a boy
I'm now all set for my finals at Silverlight. Thanks Hoid!👍

"you said the machine would replace you. it can't. it cam summon spirits, but it can't create art. art is about intent, yumi. a rainbow isn't art, beautiful though it might be. art is about creation. human creation. a machine can lift way more than tojin can—doesn't make it less impressive when he lifts more than almost any human being. i don't care how well a machine piles rocks. the fact that youdo it is what matters to me."
guys this book means so much to me omg.
I have never been so shook by a RAFO. Mr. Sanderson what do you mean them being printer colors were intentional?? What happened to yellow??? Why is that a RAFO????
