Your courage to speak out after years of absent silence is very brave of you to do. We might not know the full story of what went down between you and Rooster Teeth, but whatever it was it must have been a harrowing experience.
There are two sides of a story, and unfortunately your story has been mired with dismissals and ignorance from the people who have done the damage. For that, I'm sorry. It's not much, but I'm sorry you had to go through what you did.
Your unsung work during RWBY's early production is felt and seen, and it's really unfortunate some of what you drew and made never received the recognition they deserved. That Beach episode idea would have been very cute, and it would have given team SSSN a chance to be proper characters, haha! I heard Monty thought of team SSSN before JNPR even existed, so it's interesting to see them get the Beach episode treatment. Personally, I always liked them. For as little as they showed up, I liked them.
I remember having a crush on Sage growing up. Hehe. Dumb teenage girl me.
I hope you get the chance to tell your story without the fear of being silenced again. I don't know about anyone else but I always smelled something funny about RT and the family thing they had built up. It just never sat right with me, espcially regarding the other members who worked on RWBY. Don't let them scare you anymore. Rooster Teeth is no more. You're more than what they make you out to be. I believe you.

Thank you for your kind words, they're appreciated. I'm happy to share what I know, though I will be keeping certain things under lock and key for the time being.
Monty wanted to include them in the Beach episode purely for fan service haha.
If memory is serving me correctly team SSSN was the, "Korean Boy Band Team." Monty directly referenced the group Big Bang for characterization, specifically their MV, "Fantastic Baby," for visual design. He loved KPop and wanted to pay homage to them in his own way. I don't know when exactly he conceptualized them, but the inspiration is very obvious in my opinion.
Sun is based on the classic Journey to the West's Sun Wukong. Scarlet - G-Dragon (Kwon Ji-yong)
Kwon is on the smaller side which played a part in Monty wanting to slim down his base model a bit more. (See swimsuit notes.)
Sage - Taeyang (Dong Young-bae)
I had to convince him that we're not doing neck tattoos so he got a semi-sleeve instead.
Neptune - T.O.P. (Choi Seung-hyun)
He just thought it was funny to have the "scariest," member be afraid of water.

If you’ve read the E. C. Myers books you know that Sun doesn’t really see himself as a leader until the end of Before the Dawn and not many respect him as a leader throughout the book either, including Coco. So this?? This look here?? This growth of him and Coco simultaneously coming to a decision and checking with each other? Likely using Fox’s team speak to formulate a plan?
It’s such a small blink and you’ll miss it detail that I’ve not noticed until now and it’s making me emotional.
