Hijikata ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Why I like them: he’s the kind of character you think looks cool and scary at first glance, but in the end, he’s the one who gets bullied the most :’) hijikata is of course very reliable and is an important pillar to the shinsengumi. of course, he completes his duty as a cop, but remains loyal to kondou above everything else. his unwavering loyalty and sense of “justice” is truly admirable ; he just does what he thinks is right. his obsession with mayonnaise is just hilarious, but that’s one side i like about him :’) and thank god there was this huge angst with mitsuba and the shinsengumi... clearly showed how much he can love a woman and his friends. his tears. his determination. his love. that made me fall harder for this so-called “demon vice-chief”.

Why I don’t: aw c’mon sougo

Favorite episode (scene if movie): he looks sUPER HANDSOME IN THE “BE FOREVER YOROZUYA” MOVIE. i watched it 6/7 times.

Favorite season/movie: Gintama° (2015)

Favorite line: “I just want the woman I love to be happy” ; “If you run into a wall and pretend it doesn’t exist, you’ll never make progress. The wall will never change, so you’re the one who has to change.” 

Favorite outfit: every damn time he wears his yukata ; and that blue uniform he wears during the farewell shinsengumi arc. blue suits him so well.

OTP: hijigin

Brotp: kondou x hiji ; hijisougo (not really a brotp, but i just love their complex relationship)

Head Canon: 

Unpopular opinion: idk if it’s unpopular since i’m still new to the fandom ; i think if gintoki weren’t there, hijikata would still be punishing himself thinking he’s only done bad things in his life, so it’s only natural for bad things to happen to him too.

A wish: his happiness ; and i hope he comes back with the shinsengumi in edo with everyone, safely

An oh-god-please-dont-ever-happen: it’s the final arc in the manga, pls don’t die (not gonna happen but we never know, maybe kondo? ; v ;)
