St Clement is considered to be the first Apostolic Father of the Church, one of the three chief ones together with St Polycarp and St Ignatius of Antioch. Papal Ascensi,on c 88. Born in Rome, Italy and died by drowning at Chersonesus, Taurica, Bosporan Kingdom (modern Greece). Saint Clement was an early successor to St. Peter, installed as Pope in the year 88 and one of the 5 Apostolic Fathers, who provide a direct link between the Apostles and later generations of the church fathers. He’s a contemporary of St. Paul and is mentioned in Philippians 4:3. St. Clement's  First Epistle to the Corinthians, condemned the unauthorized and unjustified division between the laity and clergy, urging charity to heal this riff. It’s said that he was miraculously saved from martyrdom when he was cast in the sea with an anchor bound to him. {website}

St. Clement’s Punch !

Ingredients:

18 ounces freshly squeezed orange juice

10 ounces freshly squeezed pink grapefruit juice

18 ounces homemade or real lemonade

2 tablespoons Monin Triple Sec Curacao syrup, Grand Marnier or other orange-flavored liqueur (optional, see above)

Slices of orange, lemon and pink grapefruit, to garnish

Directions:

the orange and pink grapefruit juices into a jug, top up with the lemonade and stir well. 

To give the punch an extra edge, add the alcohol-free triple sec syrup or, if you don’t mind a very small amount of alcohol, the Grand Marnier or other orange-flavored liqueur. 

Add a few slices of orange, lemon and pink grapefruit to the jug to garnish and serve.

Makes 6 drinks.
