He is NOT saying together in this shot.
They chose the clip of Mike looking right at Will and put "together" over it specifically for the trailer.
Which could mean nothing....................
they kiss at lovers lake btw.

Stranger Things: a love letter
"This isn't like one of your campaigns. You don't get to write the ending."
Except the Duffers do.
This line in the trailer has me more convinced than ever that this entire show is an allegory for the horrors of growing up as a gay boy* in a small conservative town in the 80's. And that the entire reason the Duffers created it was to rewrite a happier ending for all the people who suffered and died because of it – because of this hostile environment that so unfairly isolated, mistreated, oppressed and condemned them for no other reason than who they loved.
At the end of the final episode, I believe they will have a dedication stating exactly that. That the show is a love letter – a rewrite – for all the victims of the AIDS crisis, of conversion therapy, of suicide due to bullying and isolation, of gay mistreatment, forced conformity, neglect and abuse. Through Mike and Will, all those people can be heroes instead of victims. They can finally have the happily-ever-after they never got to have in this world. And through this show, they will live forever.
Forever is their today. ❤️
*I say "boy" specifically because of the AIDS crisis and how much more it affected the male population, and because of how rigid gender roles insisted boys weren't allowed to be sensitive or share their feelings, leading to repression and emotional trauma, often with severe consequences. And because of "Boys only" and "A day free of girls."

Ok I think this scene in the trailer shows us a couple things, one of which being that we were correct when we said this wasn’t a romantic scene.
“This isn’t like one of your campaigns, you don’t get to write the ending. Not this time.”
El is warning him. They’re about to go do something dangerous, likely that which puts Will, El, or both, at great risk (if they aren’t already.)
Which leads me to read a new emotion in Mike’s eyes here: fear.
He looks wary; he looks tired; he looks so quietly fearful that the hand she’s extending towards him in comfort is doing nothing to quell his concern.
I will also say that, although El is trying to be gently warning, she’s saying quite possibly the worst thing for Mike to hear. Throughout the show, he’s only held on by maintaining some degree of control. He’s been the leader, made the plans, used D&D logic and it’s always got him through just enough. For Mike, who needs to achieve something for the cause, who needs to feel wanted and useful and necessary, hearing that he has no power or control over the outcome of a situation is devastating and diminishing to his sense of worth.
Different topic but I think it’s interesting (and honestly quite promising for us) that they’ve chosen to show us the dialogue in both pre-established m*leven scenes. It’s a great tactic if it is trying to be so, because it keeps that side of the fandom believing in their ship, while we take more notice of what they’re actually saying in each scene. On both of these occasions, they’re talking about the state of the world and how to fight. It’s not like Jancy, who had a close head touching moment and multiple quiet scenes of companionship in the trailer. I would argue Mike and El are not being presented as an endgame couple, if anything I’d say they look more like friends than lovers in all of their scenes together that we’ve seen.
She thinks you don't love her and that you think of her as a monster, and yet you think that ridiculous? bicth wtf gtfo
