Supertaste performed at Duck Room in St. Louis on February 10, 2026. Originally photographed for Midwest Rewind.
America:
Drunk white people burning & overturning cars, smashing windows, destroying property, throwing shit at cops who stand there? Revelry!
Black people angry/protesting at the constant & relentless murder of our kith & kin without any kind of justice? Savagery.
White adults carrying assault rifles & other firearms into public establishments/little white kids posing & shooting real guns? 'Murrica Fuck Yeah!
Black adults/black children with toy guns/air rifles? Threat to safety/target practice.
White suspect who has actively murdered/threatens to do so? Time to flex those negotiation skills that they teach in academy.
Black person existing? Shoot first, call them a thug/criminal later.
*Publishes "news report" about black people looting and rioting, complete with thinly veiled racism.* *Fails to mention racist cops murdering unarmed teenagers.*
a documentary film about the ways in which the American city changed in the 20th Century; and about the ways in which these changes have been misunderstood.
Fascinating and emotional documentary about the "failed" Pruitt-Igoe housing development in northern St. Louis.
Officially, my favorite place to go in St. Louis is the City Museum! It is the perfect place to take your family so the kids can play, and it is a wonderful group outing or date night. It stays open until 1am on Fridays and Saturdays so the big kids can play. They give out flashlights and turn the lights down. There is a bonfire with marshmallows, a bar and live music. Check it out!

Barcia's mustache makes him look like a 50 year old man.
