MISSOURI BOTANICAL GARDENS PRESENTS THE LANTERN FESTIVAL
How exciting is that?? I havent been yet, but I have driven by as it is only a few blocks from my apartment, and I have to say it looks awesome. The theme is Art by Day and Magic by Night. I am excited to see it, albeit it is a little bit pricey for sure ($22 for adults, $10 for kids), I am betting it will be totally worth it. Check it out!

Yayy! I mean, I’m sure it is not that exciting of a city, but anything is better than being stuck here! Plus it is like a mini-vacation before leaving for Spainnn!
Now I just have to start looking up vegan friendly restaurants.
Hi! Just perusing St. Louis tags! There are lots of fun things to see and do in St. Louis! Check out Forest Park (The Art Museum, Shakespeare, the Boat House, the Zoo, the Science Center, etc.), go to the City Museum for sure, Downtown has some great night life if you are into that. Along with lots of (free!) things to do, there are some great places to eat as well. There are a lot of really great options for us vegans/vegetrians!
A few of my favorites:
Schlafly's has an Ahhmazing blackbean burger
Pi, which has some of the best pizza ever, has some really yummy vegan cheese.
Mokabe's has THE BEST brunch that they serve every Sunday Morning with tons and tons of delicious vegan options
Anyway, I hope you enjoy your trip to the Lou! And have fun in Spain!
SHAKESPEARE IN THE PARK!
This years show is Othello, which is one of my personal favorites! I have already seen it twice, and I would totally see it again. As a theatre nerd, this is one of my favorite traditions. Load up the car with blankets, bug spray, lawn chairs, wine and crackers and head over to the park. The green show starts at 6:30 and the actual show starts at 8:00. Everything is free free free just like most things in Forest Park.
The only thing that really sucks about it is parking, but once you find your spot, you are golden. :-). Even though it is free, they do collect donations at the end of the night. Please throw something in to keep this fabulous tradition alive!

St. Louis Art Museum
Well it's summer time! For me, that means loading up the car with some great picnic food and grabbing my season pass and heading for six flags. There are some new swings that go up really high to check out this year as well as Mr. Freeze: Reverse Blast... which is pretty awesome. I just think it's a good time and it's fun that I am a thirty minute drive from a really awesome theme park. With nothing to pay for but parking (which is a ridiculous $15) and the occasional beverage, it ends up being a pretty cheap way to have a good time.
I am heading out there on Saturday because it is Deaf Awareness Day and I work with lots of Deaf people and am in school to be an interpreter, so it should be awesome. yay!!

My final Stl/Chi print. This time I made it much smaller. This edition had a couple bad spots in the screen, but you can only do so much to have a perfect screen when time is limited. I’m just happy I was able to reprint it.
