Stacey Ervin’s Tamayo (Layout Double Arabian) is one of my favorite tumbling passes and without a doubt the best this skill has ever been done. The half turn isn’t cheated and is done BEFORE the double salto, keeping it a true arabian. A true layout shape with beautiful form is also maintained (no piked hips, bent knees, or leg separation), which is extremely rare on this skill.
JUSTICE FOR ARABIANS IN MAG! I will never forgive the FIG for nerfing them and considering them the same skill and value as their non-arabian counterparts. It’s a joke that a layout double arabian 1/2 is worth the same as a FTDLO, a layout double arabian is worth the same as a DLO 1/2, a piked double arabian 1/2 is worth the same as a piked full in, a tucked double arabian 1.5 is worth the same as a double double, and a tucked double arabian 1/2 is worth the same as a tucked full in when arabians are infinitely more difficult.
