In Terminal "New tab" creates a new window and adds it to the stack. Similar idea as New tab in Tracker but in Terminal instead. Internal tabs are no longer used in favor of using Stack & Tile.

Click "New tab" it opens your home directory and adds it as a new tab in the stack. Good idea or bad? Home dir could perhaps use a bit more customization. Open an open dialog instead perhaps?
