@stakedthat overheard my thoughts for a starter
There were only a few types of people who showed up to school early, namely the scholarship-hopeful athletes, the overachievers, and the ones who liked the quiet. Also teachers, but legally, they had to get there early. Faith was really none of the above, as she wasn’t a student, but if she had to pick an excuse, it was because she wanted to get in early before that little gremlin of a principal started to patrol the halls, since it was getting harder and harder to explain why there was a delinquent teen who didn’t belong constantly hanging out in the library.
Pfft, he could blow her for all she cared.
This morning, Faith had gotten up early enough to snag a couple of coffees from the Espresso Pump downtown on her walk from the motel. One for her, and one for-
“Hey, Buffy,” she hummed as the blonde pushed through the swinging library doors. “How’s it hanging?”
{You look like you could use some caffeine. Sheesh, rough night on patrol?}
The Slayer slid one white cup and its brown cardboard wrapper across Mr. Giles’ library counter towards Buffy. “I got you a latte.”
{I hope Mr. G doesn’t check the overdue book fee box too closely...}
