MIRROR SEX

frank can see into mels window if he stands on the overlook next to her house at just the right angle. her bedroom is back left—probably has a good view of the city from the window above her bed. but frank can only really see from the side. he can see a little bit of her vanity mirror. it takes him a few late night visits to get it exactly right, and when he does, he marks it on the sidewalk with a permanent marker, a small innocuous dot, so he knows where he put his feet to get it right next time. because from that stop, he can see mel in her bed through the mirror. he can’t really see her face, just from her torso down. when she gets into her bed the first few times he notices she wears soft, thin pajamas and piles under a few blankets. then his visits become more routine. scheduled. consistent. one time when he’s there looking, he sees her get into bed baked. he stands there holding his breath and white knuckling the railing. he wants to get closer, but if he moves at all the angle won’t be right. the window is open even in the cold. he hears something soft playing on her tv. he watches through the mirror while mel writhes around on her flannel winter sheets. she runs a hand down her chest and then snakes her hand between her legs. he can see the comforter kicked to the edge of the bed. her hair ties on the dresser. and the steady movement of her hand as she touches herself, thinking she’s alone. he feasts on the sight of her, knowing he’s getting to see something no one else has—at least they better not have. if anyone had he’d kill them, he thinks. this is all for him. he can’t see everything—her legs are up a little, so her thigh blocks the best part. her hand speeds up in the mirror until he hears a quiet, gentle moan from her room. he’s so hard in his jeans he can barely think. he worries he maybe imagined it. but then there it is again, a little louder, and then, nice and loud and desperate—frank, touch me, please.

frank peeking over to look at mels phone in s1 -> who’s that? who are you talking to? what’s so funny? any plans later? oh with who? how do you know them? are you close? -> following her after work to see if she’s going straight home -> showing up at her place randomly to make sure no one else is over there -> staking out the parking lot on his day off to see if she chats with anyone else on the way to her car when he’s not there -> keeping a list of everyone who makes her laugh during their shift that isn’t him and gauging if they’re trying to get closer to mel than he’d like them to be -> bodily blocking people from talking to her when he’s with her -> trying all the locks on her doors and windows at night during his rounds just making sure she’s safe pipeline

franks lost count of how many times he’s sat outside of her place late at night watching her move through the house from room to room wondering what it would be like to get inside and follow her… how easy it would be to chase her down the hall …….. he knows which rooms her bedroom of course so he knows where he’d try and herd her. this all started when he’d wake up late at night fumbling around in his nightstand for his old bag of pills he kept there—he needed something else to focus on. he needed something else to keep him grounded, keep him away from those friends he’d go to when he couldn’t get any at work, away from something sure to ruin his life for real this time. he thinks of mel and how sweet and beautiful and cute she is—she could never ruin his life. she’s so kind to him. she understood him when he came back. she didn’t hate him. he thinks of her smile and realizes it’s what he needs to get through this. if he just focuses on mel everything will be okay. as long as she’s there to smile at him and keep him on the straight and narrow nothing will go wrong! so he has to make sure she’s okay, all the time, because if something happens to her he’s convinced his life will blow up. somewhere along the way he started thinking about what it would be like to feel her soft skin, too. she brushes up against him at work sometimes, or lays a hand on his if they’re alone. everything snowballs. he thinks of the way she’d feel if he grabbed her soft, lithe arms; if he held her little face in his hands; if he took her clothes off and laid her down. he wants to feel her beg for him, thank him for taking such good care of her, beg him to never leave her alone ever again. he tries to tell himself he’s just making sure she’s safe and won’t do any of that but most nights he’s outside of her house going over how he’d break in (because if he can anyone can, which isn’t very safe!) and what way she’d run, how he would just grab her, tell her it’s okay, it’s just him, she’s safe with him, see? he’s been watching over her, taking care of her, because she takes care of him. there’s nothing to be scared of. he’ll take care of her, he promises ♥️

idk what this was originally about but im taking is as an opportunity to speak on frank being obsessed with his best girl and make the same post for the thousandth time :) maybe he starts out really, really slow. he overhears her saying she lives in a neighborhood not too far from the hospital and frank already takes late night drives when he can’t sleep, just likes to drive around and explore the city, so whats the harm in driving through her neighborhood? its not so bad if its something he already does, right? he just so happened to drive around there. he just so happened to see her car parked in her driveway, its okay to recognize your coworkers car, its really not that big of a deal. so now he knows where she lives. maybe one of the kids has a class they go to that frank changes his route to and from so they can drive through mels neighborhood. he and abby are picking their kid up and she asks him why the change in direction and he says something about not really liking that one intersection on the way, it’s kind of dangerous and it takes forever to turn left if you’re too late to get the arrow, it’s pittsburgh they have a ton of stupid busy intersections so abby just shrugs and doesn’t notice franks quick glance out of the window every time. and then maybe mels telling him something at work about the flowers her and becca are trying to plant along their front walkway and frank says “oh, the tulips, right?” and doesn’t even realize what he’s said. mel asks him how he knows that and frank says her place is on the way to his kids class and he didn’t want to freak her out telling her he recognized her car in the driveway. but she really likes that he recognized her car and remembered the type of flowers they planted :) it means he pays attention to her!!! mel starts trying to watch out on her day off and see if she can spot frank driving by. and he does. a lot. more and more. he loved the way her face lit up when he confessed to knowing where she lived. he wonders how she’d feel if he told her it was actually on purpose. that seems like something she’d like, having someone want you so badly they can’t stay away from you. so he gets worse. gets closer. he loves her and just wants to make her happy and feel loved the way she wants to be loved. one time driving abby and the kids to the class mels outside and waves at him—she recognizes his car now. that realization hits frank like a truck and that’s the moment he knows he’s gna break into her house and tell her he loves her. she’s practically inviting him in

Whatever the build up, I 100% see Langdon as an absolutely unhinged stalker, just deeply obsessed with Mel to the exclusion of literally everything else, especially his wife and kids.

And Mel just soaks it up. All that attention and focus? She’d never even notice how unhealthy it is because it’s not like she has a healthy balanced life to begin with. And the more she embraces it, the deeper it lets Langdon go.

twin!!! obsessed with her to the exclusion of LITERALLY everything else yes iktr!!!! fuck his family fuck his kids fuck his friends his coworkers he zeroes in on mel. especially when he comes back. i think seeing her again would be really intense for him because it’s a relationship that while short lived was important and mattered to him—enough to make him scared to come back and see the state of it! and when she treats him normally and shows him it’s okay she just missed him i think amidst all the other feelings he would have and everything else going on that day she would be an anchor for him and i think he would latch onto that harder than he's ever done so before. and i think mel would really love it!!!! and yeah i don't think she'd notice it was unhealthy because for the first time she's being taken care of and looked after and she's never had that before <3 it just feels really good to have someone love her that much, especially since its frank!!! the only person that day who really saw her and understood her and met her where she was and stayed in the room with her and listened to her!! she'd let him do whatever he wanted!

i think mel would think it was the most romantic thing ever that frank liked to follow her home and park outside of her house and stare at her through the window until late at night <3 she'd change in front of the window for him!!! she wants to make sure he has a good view :) and if he can't see her well enough he has to break in to check up on her. he's just being thorough! i think she'd even start to sleep naked just in case she gets a visitor at night, since she thinks he's already been in her place when she's not around, and she wants to look her best if she does. sometimes mel wakes up in the morning with bruises on her chest or dried cum on her thighs. she’s surprised not to remember it happening bcos she’s always been a light sleeper but figures she must be sleeping better now that someone’s looking out for her <3 she wants to brag about how well taken care of and looked after she is by her boyfriend but he's still married so she can't yet :(((( booo but at least he leaves her presents not only in her apartment but on and in her too
