Jane was Loki’s world. The love of his life. The mortal whose fiery personality and unquenchable thirst for knowledge first repelled him, then intrigued him, then drew him in completely. He was the greatest mage the Nine Realms had ever known (Sorcerer Supreme nonsense be damned) and yet no magic was strong enough to break the spell she’d cast over him. With only a smile and a wink of her eye, she had bewitched him. He called her his, but he was just as much hers. Eternally devoted until time itself came to an end.

Loki reminded himself of this as Jane forced the red sweater with fluffy white trim over his head. A long white beard and a matching red cap soon followed.

“Perfect!” Jane clapped her hands, the bells on her green and red cap jingling as she led him into the kitchen. “Now let’s get the snacks and crackers ready. We have guests arriving in twenty minutes.”

She turned on some festive music, the same twelve songs she’d had on loop since November 1st. Singing along to Santa Baby, she rearranged the gifts under the tree and stoked the fire. The lights inside were dim, but he had no trouble seeing her, not with the holiday lights she’d spent ten hours stapling to the roof.

‘This is the woman I’ve chosen to spend my life with,’ Loki thought, pulling on the scratchy material of the beard. ‘I truly intend to marry her…’

Not that he was really so bothered by that part.

I'm sorry to hear about all the stuff you're dealing with right now :( insurance is always a pain, and new babies are just... so exhausting at times. It may not make anything better, but I want you to know that I've finally gotten around to reading your fics and am loving them so much!!! Your writing is so engaging, I wish I would've started on them sooner. I hope things start to look up for you <33

ahhhh thanks bb! i really needed that. i still don’t have a basement but I feel better about it. sometimes you just need to accept that walls are optional. XD

Lipstick or chapstick: chapstick, but seriously, I hardly use any

Three favourite foods: That’s really hard. I can’t even name favourite foods, but I love pasta because it’s easy to make, cakey or ice-creamish desserts and snacks like crisps.

Last song I listened to: Keeps getting better ft. Ilati

Last movie I watched: The Meg! I love every kind of shark movie, though sometimes the cheese does get cloying. 

Books I’m currently reading: A N/A novel by K. Bromberg

Last thing I googled: I always have many tabs open in my browser, so it’s a strange mix of how to make slow-cooked pulled pork, a local site selling yoga apparel and how to get rid of odours.

F: What’s your favorite book? Favorite author?

My favorite book is probably Misery by Stephen King.  I have a couple of favorite authors, including Richard Matheson, J.K. Rowling, and Ransom Riggs.

T: What’s your favorite part of the writing process?  Why?

Actually writing down scenes that have been in your head for months if not years.  I have a bunch of those that I am really looking forward to. *cough*Lokiday*cough*
