She’s sitting on the sofa of their shared apartment when he walks in, dropping his things down by the door. She moves, laying her legs across his lap, and smiles. “Rough day?”“Something like that” He replies, resting his head against the cushion and gazing over at her. He never gets tired of staring at her, wavy red hair tied up in a messy bun, wearing one of his old hoodies. “We should go out on a date, we haven’t done that in awhile. Pretend we’re actually normal for once.”She nods thoughtfully. “We should. How about that new restaurant that just opened up around the corner? Does tonight work?”He sighs. “The restaurant works, just not tonight. Tony wants to take a look at my arm, see if he can make any improvements. How about tomorrow?”“Can’t. I promised Clint I’d babysit the kids.”“They let you supervise their children alone?” She smacks him playfully. “Of course they do! I’m great with kids!”“Laura said you taught Nathaniel how to ominously chant in Russian at the kids on the playground.”“Well they were bothering him!” They banter back and forth, making adjustments, before finally deciding on a day that works best. “I wish we actually got to see each other more.” Bucky murmurs. She smiles, shifting over to kiss him gently. “It just makes the moments we have alone count more.”He can’t argue with that.
