WOW ... This is all very surreal.

It's true that Stargaze was made by a different team, I actually hadn't even considered that as why season 2 seems to be so cataclysmic. I am so so curious about the state of this show that I couldn't even begin to guess WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED ⁉️. I might have to throw out my s2 prediction bingo chart from 2023 cuz I'm getting the impression it doesn't follow any logical conclusion from where the story started !? I'm really loving all these vague warnings though. Oh my god. 😭

I'm trying my best to not get too big a head about it LOL I don't want to come off as arrogant but I won't lie that it feels really nice to be told this. 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 I genuinely felt crazy from the endless Stampede glazing. I was very loud and proud about my opinions and I understand it did NOT make me popular in some circles. (Mostly on Instagram, I actually had many opinions I never posted on here bc critiquing this show was SO unpopular at the time and I was scared 💔.) But some of my favorite conversations about Trigun were with Stampede fans... I really really loved having these disagreements and arguing my points. BECAUSE I LOVE TRIGUN. AND IT WAS JUST AN EXCUSE TO READ AND TALK ABOUT TRIGUN ALL DAY !!!!!!! 99% of the people I've met in this fandom have been lovely. I've always loved my Stampeders... Even if I have 0 idea what y'all saw in it and am frankly surprised we thought it was ever going to get better. #SORRYNOTSORRY #HISTORYWILLVINDICATEME

Anyway, long spiel but I'm just feeling really #greatful I suppose. I'm sure I wouldn't have even watched the original if Stampede hadn't given it a resurgence. Literally met the love of my life through Trigun so I really wouldn't have it any other way. GOOD DAY KNIVESITES !

How do you feel about the Trigun Stargaze announcement? Tbh idk how to feel 🧍‍♂️I'm trying to let Studio 🍊 cook buuut...I feel like with only 12 episodes they're gonna try to shove anything and everything in those 12 episodes that's important to the plot

I'm actually very VERY excited for Stargaze. It's a beautiful chance to re-ignite my beautifully vivacious hate boner for Stampede....😼 Mwuahahaha. I'm so hyped. I've already been waiting nearly 2 years for this hurry the FUCK up with my slop, ORANGE. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

Season one was already tackling waaayyy more than was needed for good, consistent storytelling. The pacing was absolutely dookie butt, we barely know our main characters, and a lot of things just feel awkward and out of place. Season 2 has a very weak foundation lol. I feel like a lot of what's going to be "good" about it are fleeting moments that were directly picked from, and done better in, YOU GUESSED IT !!! the manga.......,☝️🤓

My predictions are as follows....Knives comes back, completely devaluing his "death" in s1 (lame, gay.) (his rebirth hair will also be way too short), Meryl gets a "I'm hardened now" arc after Roberto's death that Millie has to soften (boooo predictable), Elendira goes from a child immediately into a hot woman (weird) (what was the point of her ever being a child in the first place) (weird), Legatos backstory is either ignored or treated very very poorly (scared for this one), and Millie is blonde (bad choice)

HOWEVER.

We're getting some new crew this season. I will in fact.....let them cook. And I am in FACT, hesitantly optimistic ! 😎 Perhaps it'll blow my mind with it's badassary, WHO KNOWS !? I'm psyched. I'm also very excited for the fandom resurgence and hopefully a new influx !!! In a lot of ways I'm very grateful for Stampede and its fans bc it's the perfect thing for my autism to latch onto and analyze to death because I hate it so much. It's all in good fun for me and I am not personally offended by anyone who simply enjoys a story I don't. There are real things in the world to be mad about right now. We have a beautiful existence to fight for. I just want to be clear that my opinions don't come out of nowhere, I've watched stampede twice. (and I plan to watch it a third time very soon) I've always been open to changing my mind. I just haven't.

They're probably going to have like 2 cool moments and everyone will suck them off for the rest of eternity cuz of it

The most beautifully complex character I've ever seen in my life his layers of self hatred and narcissism are fascinating to dissect his very being representing the life he wishes to take VERY poetic very goth very self destructive

2. 98 Knives

A fun character to watch his fear of pain and death clearly motivating him to his worst actions. Low-key made him a bit too reasonable with the spider and butterfly bit and it's low-key poisoned the well when discussing Knives' motivations.

His English dub voice is genuinely perfect that is what he sounds like no notes it's perfect no one could ever beat it (rest in love and peace Kirk Bailey 🙏🕊️💖) the crazy bitch laugh is unMATCHED

More 2 dimensional of a character/less interesting than in trimax imo but for what he's there for I think it works. I just wish he was there more....🥀

3. Stampede Knives

I don't think there is a single likeable thing about this character that wasn't done better 20 years ago. Embarrassing excuse for a Millions Knives successor and an insult to his previous iterations..... Makes me very sad because there is a way to rewrite both Trimax and 98 Knives into something original and new and interesting but stampede drops the ball so hard.

He's poorly written poorly integrated into the story and actively justifies his horrible actions by pretending he ever had a point in the first place

He's a one dimensional predator now with his ugly haircut ugly proportions and foot fetish bait

Honestly I can't really see anything redeeming from Stampede...I feel like none of the original ideas it brings to the table are interesting enough to stand strong on their own/give stampede a unique take on the original story. Especially when the biggest change is incest forced plantpreg nonsense. It seemed to be very obvious proship bait, especially with those seme uke ass redesigns. I just find it distasteful and disappointing. (I mean they literally found a way to make Vash shorter and smaller. They're identical twins ??? They just ignore how a huge part of the story is how similar they are ??? Because they're twins and that's important to the plot ,!!??) I don't really see how it can be defendable after that. There's just a better version of that story without that scene in there at all. 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️ #readtrimax #hatersstayhating

Except for Conrad's mustache. I do like that. I like including him in the plot more in general. I think it's bizarre that he's not focused on in Trimax as much bc he's literally the last living part of Vash and Knives' childhoods I mean helloooo !???? I still don't like how he thinks what Knives is doing is wrong, but that's not a Stampede specific problem that was a thing in the original too. In my head he's Knives #1 enabler and a huge reason why his personality is so abhorrent. Half of the tragedy of Knives' character is how normal and remorseful he could've been if he wasn't surrounded by abusers and enablers. Father son bonding....🤗💖

(He's still responsible for his own actions tho. Also a lot of the enablers he has he created but he doesn't know that tho idk it's complicated DONT WORRY ABT IT...)
