i can't get newjeans out of my head. maybe that's why i like cortis. 5 members, 'fresh music' and it's elements from black music (?) i don't really know about that, nwjns has elements of rnb, hiphop, dance pop, cortis has rap music, blue lips sounded like the kind of sad music rap artists make from time to time, i dont know much about that though so im probably wrong. fashion is literally praise da lord, both of them have the same 'teenager, natural' vibes with styling colouring, maintaining the group in interviews, 5 members, songs about food, cookie and acai, fresh-ness of being authentic, their styling being like normal teenagers (hybe boy era and then cortis until now) having different versions of albums with newer concepts, being able to keep that originality vibe by not having having teen-girls but boys who make their own music. the only benefit being that cortis is under bighit and hybe has more control over bighit than it did over ador. it feels like hybe tried to recreate the newjeans feeling but in boygroup so nobody would notice, newjeans going viral for dance practices, cortis going viral for dance practices, newjeans going viral for concept and freshness, same with cortis, both of them becoming INSANELY popular as just rookies, having mvs for every song, behind the scenes videos with funnier editing, keeping it GenZ with their shorts and reels, showing their 'real selves' it's all too much deja vu do i just miss newjeans?

cortis going viral for not knowing they won reminded me so much of newjeans in 2022, cortis getting praised for their reactions when newjeans always did that for every performance they saw

anyways i think i might be the only one who noticed this cause i see no one talking about it cause i guess people have a life lmaoo, bhut yeahhhh also i think it would be easier to keep control over the entire project since cortis is under bighit and newjeans was under ador, lol

I used to really like the rescene group because I thought they were genuinely unique compared to other groups with their down to earthness and their addictive but artistic songs like yoyo, uhuh, pinball.

But now it feels like they're trying so hard to be just like a hybe gg like illit or katseye, especially with their recent virality. The forced memeified expressions, the half "assed songs" like busy boy and heart drop, and forced tiktok dilect and gestures made me not want to stan them anymore.

It feels they've completely abandoned their identity to be just like another classless trendy gg like h2h and katseye is. Next thing I know us that their next comeback will be another gnarly inspired song with broken aave just like every other gg with no personality does it now.

well firstly, i understand that you think they're trying to go viral but in no way is it by 'forced tiktok dialect' the members had to learn the seoul dialect to be an idol and then they embraced their native dialect and their genuine-ness is what makes them feel authentic, they legit don't use aave, they make jokes with each other and are very resilient to stay strong two years after debut because their quality of music remains the same.

Your point on tiktok music isn't valid though, because both busy boy have great production and are catchy enough to go tiktok viral, and to let you know i don't even have tiktok and i can confirm that literally any rescene song with proper promotion will blow up becaue of how good it is. and i'm sorry but please don't even THINK of comparing rescene with katseye. first;y, both groups are friends and both the groups started at around same point of fame and now both a popular but rescene's style is so distinct and they're promoting their own scent. you have clearly just not liked heart drop and busy boy. have you heard MVP? or Hello XO? or Deja Vu for that matter?

if not then you stand nowhere to be able to say that their songs have become 'half assed' rescene has some of the greatest production 5th gen and maybe even entirety of kpop has never seen production like rescene's before.

they are never going to release a gnarly because if they wanted to, they would have. it also looks like you're just assuming stuff out of the few tiktoks you have seen of them, as a remine since yoyo i can proudly let you know they've always been goofy, always been silly and talented.

the forced 'memeified' expressions were literally the entire concept? gyaru is known for the loud attitude and minami didn't even do any of it because people like you would always assume the worst. woni's literal hometown is geoje and many people related to her words and behaviour, liz's home is suwon so many people related to them promoting their hometown instead of being rich seoul idols.

Again, if you didn't like busy boy and heart drop listen to runaway, deja vu , mvp, going on, crash or literally any other song from their disco graphy.

from what i can see, you used to stan them thinking they were niche and a group you could gatekeep and think you were cool for listening to because they weren't popular, and now that they are, you don't like them anymore because now a lot of people know them.

i think you have no idea how hard the members have worked for this, minami has been in this industry long before illit and katseye and the fact that every big company is literally trying to copy THEMM by doing the gyaru style and trying to make memes. rescene did go viral because of the memes but people only stayed to be their fans because of their great music and that is also what made me stan them in the first place.

so they are not classless, do not make tiktok music, and are one of if not the best groups of all time.
